The Hop Inn is a bustling pub with 12 rooms located in the heart of the Westcliff. Our rooms are spacious and modelled in a contemporary style. We have pocket sprung handmade beds for a good nights sleep. Every room is ensuite with tea/coffee and flat screen televisions. We have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and serve home cooked food all day. We have some parking on a first come first served basis but there is more free on road parking surrounding the property. We are just minutes away from the beach and town centre. We have live music on a Saturday night please check our website for details. We have a facebook page and more reviews can be seen on other sites such as laterooms. We look forward to welcoming you.

In here now as I tap. Cannot comment on the accommodation as in the pub only. Wonderful experience after a ghastly walk from Boscombe pier to Bournemouth pier. Female bartender an absolute credit to the establishment, so much so that our 10 year old bought her a large block of Dairy Milk out of his pocket money. Good food. Clean toilets. Crisp pint. Bravo.

Although we did not stay in the hotel we did eat breakfast and dinner here every day whilst we were on holiday. One of our party requires gluten free and the chef came out from the kitchen to talk us through what was okay and what was not, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were always polite, helpful and efficient and went out of their way for to make our visits enjoyable and were very tolerant of our anxious dog. A perfect venue for families and especially dog owners - nice range of seating areas.

Fantastic little pub with rooms. Staff are very nice and attentive. Rooms are VERY clean and throughout my stay the room was cleaned and provided with fresh towels EVERYDAY. The rooms arent huge but very cosy and comfortable. The pub itself isnt really on the cheap side, however, being a yorkshire man used to a pint of guinness at £3.80 rather than £6, this may just be my personal problem. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very basic, depressing decor and room. Extremely overpriced at £95 for one night!! Only perk is it being a short walk down to local bars and the seafront! Such a shame, as it could have potential considering it’s location. Picture attached: four blind strands left hanging? Surely you would replace or just take them down? Looked very tacky!!! Seems like there is no love put into this hotel.

Room was a good size and decor looked clean and freshly painted. Rooms are over a pub though so expect noise. The room we were in did not have air conditioning so we had to have the window open. We happened to arrive on a day where there was live music in the pub that ended at 11pm - so zero chance of sleeping before then unless you bring ear plugs. It closed at midnight but still A LOT of noise until gone 1pm from outside. Bed is two singles pushed together and was pretty hard. Location is great if you want a very short walking distance to sea front but I would be unlikely to stay here again because of the noise!

Just visited the pub to get a meal. Pub was almost empty inside and i had asked one of the barmaids if i could get ribs for one, she said yes. Well i waited at least 45 minutes while other customers came in, ate and left. I finally asked a different barmaid where my food was. She said the order had never been placed! Wasn’t at all bothered that i had sat there for almost an hour! Her excuse was that i was supposed to order from the bar, not the table! What? I stormed off, after telling the first barmaid that i was disgusted. She didnt care, no sorry, nothing! I will never visit this place again and certainly not recommend it to anyone! Just seeing a lot of very negative reviews about the hotel, maybe i got lucky not eating there. The pub looked grimy so in the end i’m glad i never got served! Terrible service (none), and my advice is stay away.

Smelly room.Stained towels. Mattress protector covered in yellow stains bigger than a dinner plate, visible through the bed sheet. The pillows and pillow protector should be burned, dirty and covered in stains. The only reason I saw them, they were sticking out of the pillow cover. When I complained about the state of the bedings, i was told not to worry because they are dry stains and he can't change them because every room is same. Absolutely disgusting!

Such an amazing stay. The room was much bigger than we were expecting with a very comfy bed. The location was ideal for us with a shop and places to eat all in walking distances. The staff were really helpful and friendly too. Especially the lovely house keeper who ensured our room was clean and serviced each day. Thank you for an incredible stay on a much needed break.
