Excellent sea views. Excellent location. Very good breakfast and lunch. The bar was busy but not well stocked. At the time of our visit (January) they appeared to be understaffed. They did their best to cope but standards were slipping - sadly. Paid extra for room upgrade (No.9) but it did not have a full bathroom! It had an absolutely... More

The pub is right on the seafront and has very good views. Parking was no problem even though the main section of the car park was temporarily out of action when we visited in January. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was really nicely laid out, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom clean. All comforts provided. We... More

We arrived after a difficult drive in wintery conditions to a very warm and friendly welcome. We had been upgraded to a sea view room, which was appreciated the next morning when the sun briefly came out. We ate at the bar in the evening and the meals were hot and tasty. I had the hunter's chicken and my fiancé... More

We booked for 8 people for Christmas Day Lunch and requested that we could be in the Restaurant in preference to the pub as we have used the restaurant before for family meals and liked the attention we recieved. We were served yet again by the very friendly and efficient Alex, ably assisted by Grant. We could not fault the food... More

Had a meal in the restaurant tonight. Am a vegetarian, which I realise makes me 'fussy' when it comes to a lot of pub menus, and I have complained about the Commodore's menu and food in the past. However, tonight's Nicoise with Halloumi was gorgeous!! Thank you to whoever the chef was. Yum!

The pub is located on the main front that gives great walks (even in bad weather). The staff were friendly and very attentive. We ate here for our evening meal after a day out and the food was very good. They had a couple of real ales on which where ok. There was plenty of choices at breakfast with the... More

This is our 2nd stay at the Commodore Hotel and whilst we enjoyed our first visit the hotel did need a refurb which we found had taken place when we arrived for our 2nd visit. The room we were allocated (no4) was on the first floor with a sea view. The room had had a make over which was tasteful.... More

Stayed here two nights over Christmas. The hotel is In a great location with great sea views the Beach just being the other side of the road. Room was very comfortable and clean. Had a lovely full English breakfast included in the price of £70 a night for a double with sea views. Will be back!
