stayed overnight while visiting some friends for a birthday party. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Breakfast was great, Definitely be staying here again when I return later in the year. Lovely views from the room we stayed in. Not too far from local shopping etc.

Friendly staff we use commodore a lot when on special offer. Not good value other wise. Rooms and plumbing tired to say the least. Pub good atmosphere. Parking can be an issue. But we get on well with staff and they are always welcoming.

We came here on New years eve as it was local and wasnt charging stupid amounts to get in. The place is beautifully located with excellent views and the drinks arent overpriced. The atmosphere was electric all night with fantastic entertainment by a local duo who were happy to play requests and were outstanding. There was a lovely buffet laid... More

Justin (the new landlord) is running a very happy ship here. Everyone's smiling again, the service is excellent and the food is great value for money and better than other pub chains. they seem to put an extra effort in. Try the Chicken sizzler with tortillas, tastes as good as it smells, and wow the Ultimate Burger is fantastic! Wine... More

Booked an overnight stay & was pleasantly surprised. It is a pub/restaurant with rooms, right on the beach front, with limited parking. Though dated the accommodation is clean & comfortable. Room was very warm. Excellent service, very good food, friendly staff. . My thanks to Richard, Justin & Raquel

Booked 3 nights here at short notice due to a family bereavement. I was a bit unsure having read some reviews but decided to take a chance due to the good value offered and am very glad I did. The accommodation is dated but clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant are excellent and the service is superb. We were... More

A brief overnight (winter) stay whilst visiting family nearby. It was clean, cosy and warm with a filling full English breakfast. Some recent refurshment is evident. We obtained a bargain rate for a Sunday night through booking.com with just two week's notice. We could not have asked for more. They also appear to have some bargain rates for set Christmas... The best thing that can be said in favour of this hotel is that it could hardly be closer to the beach. The pay-off, however, is that there is hardly any parking on site, though a fair amount in nearby streets. Style-wise, this is basically a pub with rooms, and one in serious need of renovation: I would not want... More

stayed for a night last week. The room was OK but the corridor areas were horrible, smelt of disinfectant, and the foyer area filthy and smelling of cigarette smoke. Run on a shoestring? yet it was not cheap.

We stayed here 3 nights and our second time here (3 days also in 2010). The views are good from and the room was a good size and bed comfortable although the hotel needs renovating. Reasonable value for money. Staff were helpful and friendly but seemed to be very busy even though not a lot of people around - maybe... More
