Beach Lodge is in an excellent position close to the grassy cliff-top from where one can stroll or take the cliff-lift down to the soft sands of the beach. From our room we could see the cliffs and glittering sea beyond. Inside all is spotless spacious and well-maintained. We had an ideal bedroom and shower room and the bed was... More

A truly warm welcome from David, with useful advice about local amenities and the best places to eat and drink. Simply furnished rooms, immaculately kept, in a beautiful house that offered a very homely feel. Thanks for letting our motorbikes invade your back garden. The only downside- I love my bangers for breakfast; I can't be doing with cereals when... More

Without doubt the cleanest B&B I have ever stayed in. Myself and eight friends stayed there over a weekend and we all agreed it was first class. David the owner was very laid back and helpful, the breakfast was superb (David you do need to put sausages back on the menu us guys missed them) Southbourne is great base, being... More

My week-long stay at the Beach Lodge was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival I felt as if I had arrived at 'home.' The owners are extremely helpful and you can tell that they truly love what they do. My room up on the top floor was cozy and a wonderful haven to relax, read, sip a delicious cup of tea and... More

My first time but not my last stay at the BEACH LODGE, Thank you so much, David, Sandra and Yvonne. The quality to detail of the en-suite room and service was amazing. Your Edwardian home is beautiful, as soon as I saw the front hall I wanted to stay. The facilities you provided, I think are 5*. Loved being able... More

Our 2nd stay in 2 years at the Beach Lodge, fantastic service, clean and comfortable rooms, we will be back again! A 2 minute walk to the beach makes this B&B ideal but it's quiet enough to kick back and relax in.

What made our stay at the Beach Lodge delightful was the excellent and friendly service of this family-run B&B. Our booking was smooth & efficient, we were greeted at the door on our arrival, advice or assistance were available whenever we needed. The house has a great location, a 2 minute walk from the cliff top (above the beach), and... More

It was a real pleasure to stay in this lovely guest-house for a week! The place is impeccably kept, the owners are friendly and helpful, the breakfasts nutritious and delicious. The rooms are simple, yet have small touches that give a home-like feel to them. Bedding and towels were of a good quality. There was shampoo and shower gel in... More

We stayed 2 nights in a family room (2 adults and 2 kids) in this lovely Edwardian house. It's only minutes from the glorious sandy beach at Southbourne, Bournemouth. Very nice owners, excellent breakfasts (organic yoghurt and fresh fruit along with the traditional English fry ups and breakfast cereals). Our room was very clean, simply decorated, and light with views... More
