A large group of us stayed at this hotel for a 40th birthday party and were really treated like family. I had problems with my flights and initially cancelled my room only to have them move someone else around to accomodate me in my room for the 2 nights when I got things sorted out. Upon my arrival, all I... more

Stayed for just one night with my husband as we were attending a family party on a riverboat from Totnes. Hotel was easy to find and you had to double park in the compact car park and leave your keys on Reception just in case. We had a standard room and the bed was huge and exceptionally comfortable. It looked... more

As a regular business travellor to Devon I came upon the Royal Seven Stars by accident, I only wish I had found it years ago! And now, as a regular guest they always upgrade me without even asking - the reception staff know their guests and are extremely informative, if you need to know something they find it out! +... more

I stayed in a standard room on the first floor on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Booking by phone was easy and gave a good 1st impression. Hotel building impressive on arrival and entry. Let down by no-one at reception, just a lady in office with her back to me talking to a male who could see me but... more

Lovely old coaching hotel at the bottom of Totnes' main street. Rooms recently refurbished, double bed very comfortable and good linen, though it was two twins pushed together. As a non-roast eater I was wary of Sunday night carvery , but the other menu items were thoughtful, fresh and cooked to order, and the bill for six knocked me sideways... more

Spread over 50 years I am a former S Devon resident and still a frequent visitor to Totnes and this review is a little different in that I am commenting on the bar/saloon of the hotel. Having twice had a poor experience in May (booked table already given away despite arriving promptly) and indifferent food I thought we we would... more

I stayed here for one night on business. My room was large, clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was perfect. The staff were friendly. The bar had decent real ale and stayed open as long as there were people in it. All in all a most comfortable stopover. more
