Last saturday we stayed at the Bill IV in Totnes for one night whilst on our way to Cornwall. What a find, as the service, food, rooms, and ales were all top notch. Our rooms were exceptionally well decorated with very comfortable beds and what felt like brand new linen on them! All very clean with a clean bathroom and... More

After a wet and quite miserable day in Torquay we drove into Totnes and stumbled across the King William IV Hotel... What a lovely bright and enjoyable place to visit, great atmosphere, very pleasant staff a fantastic food. We ordered a Deli Platter and a bottle of Chablis... RESULT!! If only our trip to Devon had been longer... we would... More

Popped in for a drink after visiting another local pub and not being impressed. This pub offers a comfortable atmosphere and polite staff along with very clean facilities. We were drawn to the pub as live music was playing from within and were very pleased. Great duo with participation from the audience. We were made to feel very at home... More

We're local and had heard good things about the food and were not disappointed. We ate from the tapas menu, the food was really very good, superb service and the new decor was very nice. The choice of beer and wine was excellent especially the real ale, but the biggest surprise was the bill, so very reasonable. We will definitely... More

Tried the recently refurbished pub, but more than a pub, last week for a meal. The decor is contemporary and tasteful, the service excellent and the food good. A small menu, but this means what you get is fresh. The prices are very reasonable, so well worth a try.

Stopped by for a drink and booked a table for dinner after SInead's smooth talking sales pitch! Ate from the tapas style menu and it was Wonderful food! Also tried some cocktails! Service was attentive but not over powering - really hope this venture is successful as it adds another layer to eating out in Totnes. We are not local... More

Where to start?? What an absolutely wonderful foody pub. We were on a day out in Totnes, and wasnt really impressed by the cost of most of the meals at other establishments, so popped into the William. we were very warmly welcomed by a young chap behind the bar, he explained that they had been open 3weeks and 1day. The... More

We have only lived in Devon 12 months and visit Totnes regularly for shopping etc and normally end up at the Seven Stars for lunch. ( often with our frequent visitors ) Last week we decided to look in the recently refurbished King William, well, the welcome was fantastic, we were sorted for drinks quickly and invited to look at...
