well, this was our second visit to torquay's regina hotel and i have to say we really enjoyed our stay although this time round our room was a little on the small side, but having said that for the price we paid i dont think we can complain to much. the other "grip" we had was the hotel was absolutely... We have just returned from a 5 day break. Hotel decor is very old and drab and the food is terrible. We ordered a citrus fruit cocktail for starter and all we got was some tinned satsumas and grapefruit. This was followed by fish fillet which turned out to be slightly bigger than a fish finger. The "chef special" was... More

This hotel has two bars, one in the lounge and one in the room given over to entertainment and bingo. I was charged £8.20 for a pint of bitter and a standard glass of rose wine which I think is extortionate. the same order in one of the nearby pubs was only £4.86 and there was entertainment provided. On the... More

We stayed here as part of a coach tour with Lathkill Coaches. The manager, Bartek came on board the coach to welcome us, a friendliness echoed by all of the staff. The location of the hotel is the best in Torquay, right on the harbour, flat & level, near the shops. Our room was clean, comfortable & had an amazing... More

We stayed for one night in August 2014. The hotel is well positioned on the harbourside and close to many bars and restaurants and walking distance to the town centre. We had a 'sea view' twin room which really was a 'marina view' room but it was an excellent view! The room was reasonably well furnished and decorated OK. The... More

The hotel's position, at the side of the marina, is excellent and it was ideal for going for a stroll after the evening meal. The hotel, although old, was clean and well cared for. The meals generally were quite adequate, but vegetables and potatoes looked as if they'd been counted out (4 potatoes for 2 people each night). I was... More

We are five pensioner friends who stayed at the Regina Hotel with Alfa Travel. The rooms were clean and comfortable although a little noisy at night especially on Saturday night when all the local bars are busy. The food was very good, all freshly cooked and the waiting staff very attentive. The hotel is very central with plenty of local... More

Dear Janet D I am sorry that your mother was booked into a room in the Elizabeth Barrett Browning former house. When the booking was made nothing was mentioned to alert us that she is 79 years old or that she had any difficulty with stairs. All we had was a name booked into a single room with sea view... More

Spent long week-end break with a group of friends. Hotel very clean & friendly. Hotel staff very helpful, food was good. Room was cleaned each day and towels fresh daily if required. Lovely terraced area. Will go back again.
