on first arrival we were greeted by the owners, and she checked us in and helped recommend places to visit and how to get to places we wanted to visit. once checked in she showed us to our room which had the most comfortable bed i've ever come across. the breakfast was high quality and delicious, and the owners made... more

We stayed 2 nights in Ashurst Lodge last July and can warmly recommend it to anyone. After sleeping in hostels / the beach / even outside of a hospital in Belgium we were thrilled to end up in such a cozy bed&breakfast. Especially the beds are worth the praise: they are almost too comfortable to get up in the morning.... more

Ashurst Lodge is a really lovely place. Our room was fantastic value for money and very clean! Norman and Nena were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and ready with recommendations should you want advice. The hotel has private parking which we found very useful in Torquay where everywhere is a struggle to park!!... more

This small hotel had good reviews which probably influenced me to stay there and especially because the price for a single room and a double room with b & b was the same price as room only at Travel Lodge(no breakfast soap or towels). The rooms were clean. The one shared bathroom on ground floor smelt a bit damp and there was... more

I booked this hotel on the strength of the reviews. But when I got there I was so dissapointed. And while I can't quite fault it for cleanliness - it is so run down and with stale air that it gives the appearance of dirtiness. Spent most of our time outdoors. more

We recently visited Torquay for a week long trip (Mon-Fri) and our first impression of Ashurst Lodge were very favourable, we were greeted by our host Norman who swiftly checked us in and showed us to our rooms, (rooms 2 and 7) both of which were comfortable, clean and ready for us on arrival. Once checked in we were free... more

This is the perfect place to stay in Torquay! Nena and Norman are perfect hosts............there if you need them, but not in your face. The accomodation was perfect,,,,,,,,clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and more than enough to see you through the day. The rooms were serviced on a daily basis (beds made, bathroom cleaned and tea/coffee topped... more

I stayed in Ashurst Lodge Hotel for a whole month and I must say... it was lovely. Norman and Nena are the nicest couple you'll ever find. It's not a luxury hotel but it's very nice indeed, very clean and very comfortable. I will recommend it to everyone! more
