We stayed in the Maxton Lodge attatched to the Hotel opting for self catering. The apartment was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed. It was nice and cosy, although a bit tired and in need of a little maintenance. The view of Torbay Harbour from our room was amazing although spoilt by the weather which was very wet... more

The hotel is a 5/10 minute bus ride from the town/sea front. The rooms are a nice size and the food of good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Jade! The leisure facilities were good although the indoor pool is very very warm!!!! Cannot take drinks to the outside pool which is a bit of a shame... more

We have just had short but very enjoyable stay at this hotel. We have no complaints. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool & sauna. Very good value for money. We would visit here again and would recommend it to others. more

We booked a 2 bed apartment and ended up with Apartment 9 on the first floor which looked like it had recently been refurbished. Our age ranges were wide - 70s, 50s, 30s, 20s and a baby. Pluses: Lovely sea view Location Very quiet Pool Nice to have the extra space that an apartment gives with having the baby Minuses:... more

We have stayed here twice now, and on both occasions we have been satisfied with the rooms and facilities. The hotel is not far from Torquay sea front so is in a good position. The rooms have always been clean and tidy, with all you need. The family rooms tend to be much bigger and still very reasonably priced. The... more

I stayed in Maxton Lodge 10 with my wife and two children, this lodge was to a nice standard with sea views. The lodge had plently of room for my family and was a very comfortable stay. Food was excellent and there seems to be good improvments since my last visit the manager also informed me there will be a... more

A nice welcome - I was allowed to check in a bit early because my room happened to be ready, and was then given a tour of the amenities, which include a small pool, gym, sauna and hot tub. The hotel is a large, red Victorian house situated about a 5-10 minute walk (depending on your speed!) from the seafront... more
