Set above the bustle of the town with great views and quiet homeliness. The owners are quiet and very polite. The rooms are modern but stylish. The breakfast s are well prepared and cooked. The location is its best attribute being away from the crowds on a hill above the town with agreat view out to sea from our top... more

No issues with this hotel. Stayed at the hotel for 2 day break. Breakfast good. Rooms very clean. Very short walk to harbour front albeit down many stairs. Night time view excellent on walk to harbour. Around the hotel very quiet with traffic noise zero. more

We have just returned from two nights at this hotel. What can I really say,it was just superb all round. The rooms are spotless the breakfast lovely, and the staff can not do enough for you.For a good value meal head to Camelots in Torquay town centre.I defy any-one to eat it all. more

This was our second visit to Mount Nessing and once again we were made most welcome. Our room was bright, airy and spotlessly clean with plenty of room for our family of four. Rick and Lorraine are lovely hosts, and there are toys and games in the large conservatory to help occupy young children should you be visiting, as we were,... more

We stayed at this great little hotel for 5 nights, from monday until saturday, following a recommendation from a friend. We're glad that we followed their recommendation! As we arrived in the car park we agreed we had made a good choice, as the view from the hotel is interesting and beautiful, looking as it does over Torbay, and the... more

Stayed here for an impromptu weekend break. Booked last minute, got an excellent rate and ended up with a 4-poster room. Hotel owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast great, bar cosy with lovely outside area and bar games if you wanted. Torquay was really nice, not what we expected, but as the weather was stunning we... more

I heard of Torquay from articles as it is part of the English Riviera and that's where Agatha Christie was born. Aside from that, I know nothing of the place especially the quality of the hotels/hostels around the area.... therefore, Mount Nessing is a pleasant surprise. I should start with the negative point about the place as there is only... more

Just a one night stay at this very clean and accommodating Hotel but enough to make a reasoned appraisal. A very warm welcome awaited us and nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. The en suite room was very comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was outstanding and there was a homely, peaceful atmosphere to the whole place. Highly recommended... more
