I brought my parents here for a casual evening meal on a Tuesday and it was great to see this place busy again after a few years under poor management. The new owners are lovely and obviously keen to make this beautiful pub and hotel a success. The food was absolutely amazing value and were big, tasty portions. The menu... More

My family and myself have returned to the Chelston manor today looking for the same service we received last year. We were met by a man called Josh who remembered us from the last time and sat us at the same table. Wow I was impressed. I would be the first to complain if it went wrong but it was... More

With the new owners has come a very good menu and quality meals at a very reasonable price. Never had a poor meal or service here.

Visited the Chelston Manor for sunday lunch recently with my wife and four children. The new owners are doing a fantastic job of turning this place around. The food was incredible. Perfectly cooked with enormous portions, so much that we couldn't eat it all. The children were very well catered for with everyone going out of their way to fulfill... More

Some good friends of ours invited myself and my wife to go for a meal one lunch time to Chelston Manor, which they had used regularly in the past. The whole episode was so embarrassing for them that they couldn't apologise enough and will never go there again. After ordering our food, taken by a member of staff who didn't... More

Chelston Manor is not a venue I would revisit. Travelled to Torbay to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the once affluent destination known to many as The English Riviera. Staff were surly, dismissive and clearly despised the employ. Not clean. Food was very poor (When it eventually arrived). Avoid at all costs.

Firstly, it came as a suprise and disapointment that this place is a pub. Not the end of the world but certainly not evident from the website we booked though. The building is old (17th century apparently) which should be a good thing but the decor is very tired and old fashioned. Our room was not as clean as we... More

I recently stayed at the Chelston Manor Hotel and was not expecting the stay that i had! Everyone was so friendly! Its a very old building (and you could tell by a little wear and tear) but that didnt put myself or my family off by any means! The staff are very friendly and seems they would go out of... More
