we were here in June with Leisuretime, food was excellent but there was a lack of cups of tea at breakfast and dinner. the room was very spacious and had a nice spare room and bathroom. Decor was dated but entertainment was very good with good money prizes in the bingo. Was last there 18 yrs ago and after June... More

Good grief, this place was terrible! When we arrived we struggled to find anywhere to park, let alone a disabled spot for my girlfriend, who is disabled. When I enquired about parking I was told I could park 300 yards around the corner which wasn't acceptable and when I went for a look there was nowhere to park. I found... More

Rainbow hotel could arguably and not inacurately be described as an unofficial old folks home, in appreance and patronage... With that out of the way, it is actually a lovely little place which provides everything you need from a full english breakfast buffet with your room, really good 24 hour customer service, to even a lovely heated swimming pool. We... More

Handy for walking into town. Could be fabulous but very out dated and tired. Breakfast not very good and choice of food very disappointing. Entertainment very poor on the nights we stayed. Comedienne should stick to singing and the singing duo learn to Sing in tune or retire

Stayed for one night at Rainbow Hotel Torquay. A room 302 which was at the back of the building over looking very tatty out buildings. Room was a good size en-suit double all to myself. Seagulls crying at 0400 in the morning will wake you up, but that's the joy of a seaside town. Used the heated indoor swimming pool... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights 17-20 July as part of a coach trip. Having read several reviews already I had seen mixed reports. The frontage was as I expected so I was not put off by appearances. I have to say that all the staff were delightful. They were particularly helpful and attentive as my husband... More

Having read the mixed reviews for this hotel, I was a little apprehensive but since I was on a coach tour, I had little choice but to stay here. I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased with it all. My room (517) was next to both a lift and a fire door but there was no noise from either and... More

Dear John W Thank you for your comments, and excuse me for being rude but considering you felt that the hotel is like an "Old peoples home" your comment was more to do with no seating out side !! On the front of the hotel on the patio we have 6 tables and 24 chairs , lower down we have... More
