My wife and I have just returned form a mid-week break at the Norcliffe and we have had a great time. The rooms were basic but clean, the food was very good and the situation of the hotel is great, we were able to explore the area easily on the bus. The proprietors were lovely, they were very helpful and... More

My husband and two friends booked the Norcliffe through David Urquart. We had a wonderful time, Nick and Karen were excellent hosts, couldn't do enough for us. The food was cooked fresh each day, no frozen rubbish!. The staff were very friendly and our rooms were cleaned each day. I must say that the bed we had was the most... More

Nick and his wife make you very welcome, The staff are very attentive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them, the food is edible but somewhat limited. I would definately stay here again as its in a good position for hopping on... More

This was a 4 Day/3 Night New Year break with David Urquhart Coach Travel and, taking into account it was a fairly late booking and a relatively low price in comparison with some others on offer, turned out to be fair value for what was on offer. Family run, the hotel was quite well positioned and the family certainly put... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Norcliffe. Wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews. However we enjoyed it so much we are already planning to return. The room ticked all the boxes, clean, warm with a bath and shower. (Not all rooms have a bath). The food was cooked well and... More

Recently returned from a stay at this Hotel and cannot fault it for the friendliness and great value for money provided by Nick and his family.
