Stayed here for 1 night on business. It's out of season so there isn't much going on in the area at night as you'd expect. The previous reviewers' statements about the owner who hasn't bothered to iron his shirt are true. The reception area has a bit of a doggy whiff about it, but overall the presentation is clean and... I do not know where to start. I went with my boyfriend for 2 nights and I cannot think of any positives to even this out. First of all, when we got into the room I went into the toilet to find a used toilet roll with about 3 pieces left, so obviously they thought that the next guests had... More

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel at the beginning of October for a weekend break. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station and set back from the main road. We had a first floor room and the view was absolutely gorgeous. The room itself was a bit small but that didnt matter at all as... More

Unwelcoming and continued to be so for the 3 days we were there. Room rather tatty, shower ok if you waited ten minutes for it to warm up, 'sliding door' between room and shower/toilet useless, sink tiny and inaccessible. Nice sea view is the best comment I can make. Beds just about adequate and could do with being replaced along... More

Went Away For The Weekend With My Partner, Both Found It To Do The Job! Friendly Service And Everything Was Tidy/Working. Not Bad Price Too! Right By The Sea With Views And A Short Walk Into Town. Had BreakFast Also. Big Choice And Beautifully Cooked. Not Really Much To Fault. Recommend

If only the owner valued a comfy bed more than an expensive (bigger than necessary) t.v in the room. I could feel every spring (but I am used to decent beds) Cheap pine furniture, poly cotton maroon (70's style) bedding - valance hanging off. From the point of check in - an unfriendly, un shaven man with un ironed shirt... More

It would of been useful on arrival, to have been advised of where the restaurant/bar/lounge were, even though the hotel is small. Instead, we had to pay the bill before we had seen our room. Luckily our room was very nice with a great sea view, nice decor and a comfortable bed. At breakfast, the family of the hotel came... More

Best low-priced hotel I have ever stayed in in this area, and a sea view! Good position opposite Livermead beach area of Torquay. Room was smallish but adequate, comfortable bed. Large lounge and bar area for relaxing, free Wifi in bar/lounge. Excellent breakfast for only £5 extra per day. Marvellous sea views from front bedrooms. Parking area can be congested... More

A well located hotel within easy reach of the buzz of Torquay and with sea views. The outdoor pool was closed in mid August. I had a single room which although very small was well equipped. My bed even had a full reclining mechanism. I had only paid £45 per night for the room plus £5 for breakfast which was... More

when we arrived we were to early to book in but the staff allowed us to park our car in the hotel car park saving us the expense of on street parking. later on when booked in we were given a room with a great view of Torbay. the room was of a good size with a comfortable bed &... More
