Stayed here in early August for 2 nights as part of a walking holiday. It's very well located just down the road from the Abbey and only 15 minute walk to town and 5 minutes to train station. I had a clean, well furnished and recently decorated room with albeit a very 'compact' shower/wc and a 'disguised' basin but of... More

First impressions are so important. Our first impression of The Brandize was exactly what we wanted. A nice, charming B&B to stay in. We first met Sarah, who gave us our key and showed us to our room. She was a lovely lady, very kind. We met Rick the next morning at breakfast. Introduced himself and knew us by name.... More

Stayed for a couple of nights whilst enjoying a short break away. Rick was very friendly and welcoming, Lovely room very clean and brilliant parking. We did not want to leave our car on the road or in a public car park so the Brandize was perfect with ample private off street parking. The breakfast was lovely too, not the... More

I stayed here on the 12th of August 2015. While the owners of the guest house were very friendly i had the worst nights sleep if you can call 2 hrs a nights sleep. The bed was so soft and sloped towards the edge so it felt like you we're going to slide of. I also managed to pull the... More

My 12 year old son and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We were made very welcome by the owners. We had a deluxe room which was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable and spacious. Extra touches in the room made all the difference such as good quality toiletries and lovely biscuits. The breakfasts were... More

Rick and Sarah were so very welcoming, and this set the tone for the whole of our two week stay. The cooked breakfasts were of a very high standard, with a good choice. The beds were comfortable, and the linen immaculate. Free wifi was a bonus. We managed without a car, as bus stops were within easy walking distance. We... More

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Brandize and cannot recommend it enough. Rick and Sarah are amazing hosts, so warm and welcoming and ideally suited to running a hotel. We stayed in room 1 a superior room which was excellent value for money, the room was large, well decorated and furnished to a high standard as... More
