I organised a trip for 46 ( 50+ in age group) . As soon as we got there we were greeted with a glass of sherry, while someone took luggage up to rooms. A pleasant warm welcoming reception area, with deep sofas that you could sleep in !Food was excellent, with 3 choices at breakfast time as well as evening... more

Spent four nights at this well situated and clean hotel. Only gripes concern a shower which packed in (we were provided with the keys to nearby rooms as an alternative) and a less than helpful bar maid / come receptionist. All the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fine and drinks reasonably priced. more

We hadn't had a typically British seaside trip for ages and I'm delighted to say that the Bute Court ticked all the boxes. The hotel has a sense of history (as it was the Marquis of Bute's winter residence) and the decor reflects the building's golden age. (It would be lovely at Christmas!) The rooms are comfy and immaculately clean,... more

What made this hotel special was the fantastic staff that work here. The room was large and yes the bathroom needed updating but it was furnished to a good standard. The food was great for this grade of hotel and the portion sizes were big. I would recommend anyone to stay here, close to the baech and not far from... more

My husband and I have just returned from a five day stay at the Bute Court Hotel. Although it is in need of some updating, the room we had was large and comfortable with a 2 seater settee and plenty of drawer and cupboard space available. It was warm, carpeted and the bed was very comfortable. The only down side... more

Have just returned from an 8 day stay at the bute court. I organise group holidays and 42 of us stayed there for a week. A lovely hotel with very friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms (although could have been hoovered more!). The food breakfast and evening meal were outstanding, lots to choose from and very hot. The entertainment was... more

The hotel is tired. I had great problems trying to get a hot shower the temperature fluctuated so much it was dangerous so I had to have a bath. This took ages to run as i was on the top floor and the water took a long time to heat up. The room was cleaned each day but cleaners could... more

My mother and her sister booked to stay here for Christmas as part of a coach tour with Baker's Dolphin and this is what she has said on her return: The rooms were beautiful, thoroughly cleaned every day, including christmas day, and always warm. Food was fantastic, well cooked and always piping hot, served by the friendly and comical waiter... more

My sister and I stayed at the Bute Court for four nights as part of a coach holiday in July 2007. We had a most enjoyable stay and would like to return sometime in the future. Meals were very good- always hot or chilled as befitted the menu. There was an adequate choice-perfectly cooked every time. The waiting staff were... more
