My husband and I have just returned from the Hotel Iona, having stayed there for 2 weeks with 2 very good friends. We were greeted by Roy when we arrived, and he helped to take our suitcases upstairs. We were also met by Chip, their wonderful Jack Russell, who took a shine to my husband. The Iona is a very... more

The hotel on arrival is a lovely victorian tall white building with ample parking. Roy (the owner) greeted us & showed us to our room and had perfectly laid out the surprise I had planned with him over e-mail for my husband when we entered our room, chilled champagne, glasses, a red rose and my anniversary card ...Nice One Roy!;)... more

I stayed here for a business trip for training in torquay. I think it was a last minute effort to get me in somewhere to stay at phigh season! But, this place was recommended by a member of staff who had stayed there. Lovely room, overlooking gardens, flat screen digital TV and DVD player in my room. Bathroom had everything... more

If you're a firm believer of "You get what you pay for" don't bother with this little gem as the price doesn't come close to the service provided. My room was a spacious double, well appointed with an excellent on suite shower room. The English breakfast realy set me up for the day and I was not disappointed with the... more

Hotel Iona is great value for money. We had a lovely spacious double room, equally matched by the large blue mosiac tiled bathroom! The location is great, it is located on a quiet road but the train station and Torquay Harbour are all within walking distance. There is also about 4 different convienience stores just a few mins away! We... more

Found owners to be very friendly. Our room was quite roomy and clean. Our en-suite shower had very little water pressure so it took a while to wash off soap. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided, but all unknown brands. Small tubs of skimmed milk only provided, but did not use as we really do not like skimmed milk. Fresh... more
