Proprietors Jackie and Bob greeted us personally and made us feel most welcome. Room was very clean and pleasant and bathroom was fine. Breakfast was of a good standard and plentiful. Not welcoming and impolite. The proprietors are gone an evening to go to the theatre. They closed the dining room and I couldn' t eat. Dinner was between 6:30 PM and 7.00 PM and the woman didn't want to cook after 6:30 PM !!!!!! I would like to have dinner at 7:00 PM and the woman has been very upset... more

Stayed for a week in july with a mixed group of friends. Rooms were lovely and the breakfasts were excellent. The hotel has a beautiful garden and terrace leading out from the bar. Bob and Jackie (the owners) were extremely friendly. more

Had a couple of nights at the Torcroft would need to really nit pick to critise, so why bother ! A warm welcome clean rooms good food will go back again on next trip to Torquay. more

We stayed for one night in June and would gladly have stayed for longer.This is a typical Torquay hotel but the owners have done all they could to lift it above average eg a fan in the bedroom which is a welcome addition on a hot night. Hotel Torcroft is a very nice place to stay. It is located not to far from the beach or town. The rooms are clean and well presented and the breakfast was enjoyable. We have stayed there a few times over many years and and we have always found it warm and friendly. more
