Having just returned from a week on a PGL activity family holiday, it was fantastic and very enjoyable my wife and 6 year old went as short notice frustrated by school holiday prices we found this adventure online. What an adventure, I was worried that my six year old would not be able to do anything but he could do... More

Visited here for a netball weekend. The setting is beautiful, rolling countryside, amazing views and a lovely building. However I was in accommodation outside this building (which I didn't mind as it was quiet). Sadly to room was dated and tired and needs a revamp. There is no shower and the bathroom and very old, with a leaking toilet that... More

Dear Melissa Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent netball trip to Barton Hall. I am delighted to read that overall you enjoyed your stay and that you had the opportunity to try out the zipwire! I appreciate your comments regarding the rooms. The PGL site at Barton Hall is in a beautiful location. Barton Hall its self is located on a hill and looks down across to Torquay with stunning views. The accommodation consists of chalets and also large rooms in the house. The accommodation is basic however immaculately clean with nice touches such as tea and coffee making facilities, and a... I am 8 years old and I have just spent a week at Barton hall with my family. The activities are great fun and they let all ages go together. You're in groups of 12 but if you come together as a family of 12, like we did, then you can stay together. Every day, except for one, you will... More

Last week I took the kids (11 & 18) on a PGL holiday to Barton Hall, in Devon. It was fantastic, we had SUCH a great time, I felt like I was on a school trip with the 2 of them, brilliant opportunity for the 3 of us to really spend some quality time together. (Hubby couldn't have any more... More

We have just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Barton Hall. We were not sure what to expect but it was an amazing week. We have 3 children, 12,9 and 6 and they all had a great time. Would never have believed my daughter of 6 would manage most the activities. Many thanks to all the staff who made... More

We booked a week here for our two boys who insisted that Dad and Mum came along too. Lots of climbing, water activities plus many others which were all great fun and teamed up with some other families with all getting along really well. The rooms are basic but we had two with the boys having their own bathroom and... More

Second year with PGL in Barton Hall. If you and your children like a week of activities climbing walls, running down them, canoeing on water and falling in then you can't ask for anything more. Great value for money with 3 hot meals a day included, a shop and bar prices that don't rip you off and lots of like... More

Ok I admit I am a bit of a snob when it comes to booking holidays and places to stay. We found ourselves in mid July having to look for last minute holidays in England due to me having been unwell and still having tests and undiagnosed and no one would insure me for our already booked holiday to America.... An excellent holiday at PLG Barton Hall. Single dad and 9 year old son. What was good: Likeminded people who want to develop and challenge children. People willing to get stuck into activities. The PGL staff from catering, activity guides, life guards all excellent Some tips The rooms are very basic and not modern. If you consider they deal with... More
