We booked for two nights and Diane and Clive made us and our Cavalier king Charles spaniel most welcome, with tea on arrival. "Daisy' would pull us into the hotel to be made a fuss of each time. There is a small park opposite for doggie visits which is very handy and provides easy parking. Our ground floor room was... more

Stayed here for two nights with my son who is 35. It is a very charming B & B type Hotel run by Diane and Clive. We had a warm welcome when we arrived which included a cup of tea always appreciated by the English. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to anyone who is looking for... more

My boyfriend and I were in Torquay for one night in August. We were in town to see Van Morrison play and chose the Avron, based on the reviews we read here on Trip Advisor! We were not disappointed with our choice! Peter and Susan were wonderful hosts. Our room was extremely clean and well appointed. The whole house appears... more

Having not stayed in Torquay before, family had recommended this B+B to us for our 2 night stay. We were 3 adults and a toddler and had booked two rooms at Avron House. We booked over the telephone and were then sent directions that were easy to follow .We were thrilled to find the location only a 10 minute walk... more

Stayed at the Avron for three nights with my mum and two children (6 and 3). Rooms were absolutely spotless (I was in the family room which had a great layout, Mum had lovely single with brand new en-suite). Peter and Susan were very welcoming and friendly. I'm not sure storytime and hide and seek are services always available but... more

We stayed at this lovely hotel for a weekend recently. It is beautifully run by Peter and Susan who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Their knowledge of the Torquay was excellent and they gave us lots of great advice about the area. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was superb. Would not... more

Just come back from a stay at the Avron Hotel in Torquay which I chose after reading a couple of positive reviews on the Tripadvisor website. The hotel - a large Victorian house located near Torquay United football ground - is every bit as good as previous reviewers have claimed. Nicely decorated rooms with good facilities; everything spotlessly clean; friendly... more

We came across the Avron Hotel purely by chance and what a lucky chance it turned out to be. On arrival we were ushered into the lounge and served tea and biscuits. The food was excellent, breakfast being a particular treat. Peter and Susan who run this little gem, just couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasant one.... more
