On arrival we noticed a piano and we asked for a rendition- I really did not expect it but we were treated to a lovely tune & tea. We really felt at... More

Greeted on arrival by Ian and made to feel welcome straight away. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed the freshly cooked to order breakfast and the efficient service. In the evening there is a small bar where we were kept entertained by Craig's humerous conversation. The Marstan is only a short walk to many good... More

We booked this hotel on our short road trip around Dorset and Devon - did not fail at all. Ian and Craig delivered the highest service you could expect, always welcome and helpful with everything. Small touches like map with local attractions of very comprehensive list of things to see within driving radius - we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast... More

Stayed her for the night with my wife on a short trip away. We left the car in the car park all day while walking the coast. When arriving back at the hotel we were treated with a tea/coffee and given some good advice on places to eat/visit in the evening. Rooms were very clean and a decent size with... More

This is the way hotels should be run. Ian and Craig are welcoming, attentive and engage with the guests to ensure that not just the hotel stay but the whole holiday is a success. We really appreciated the local knowledge that the hosts offered. The hotel’s location is excellent, quiet and just out of the main town but within a... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Marstan. We were welcomed with open arms, and felt very relaxed during our stay in this wonderful house. Location is great, especially after a great dinner in town, the walk back is refreshing. Breakfast is fantastic, and cooked to your liking. Only shame, was the pool being closed in September, hence me giving 3... More

Amazing hotel and perfect location being just a five minute walk from Meadfoot beach and the very scenic coastal walk. Very welcoming, great sized room and very comfortable beds all impeccably clean and well decorated. Nice breakfast with plenty of options to choose from all cooked fresh so no stale buffet!! Iain and Craig made our stay great. This hotel is the one you dream about finding. The one you know will give you the very special stay long for. We did have a few problems with the heating , but Iain did his utmost to cure the problem.
