I stayed at this place for 2 weeks and I really liked. The staff is very cool making a good environment. I felt at home. Great space to make friendship. Lots of backpackers from all around the world. location is also a good thing. It's just 10 minutes or less from the bay and beach.

I love Torquay Backpackers and have stayed several times, for stays between 1 night to 6 weeks! Sean (owner) goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a good stay. I once phoned him after reception closed when I was stuck in Exeter, (Exeter backpackers wouldn't let me stay because I didn't have ID) and he came to... More

A fantastic hostel with friendly staff and a homey atmosphere. It was fun and easy to meet other travellers or long term people staying at the hostel. The kitchen was usually very clean too, so you can cook happily.

We arrived a few hours earlier than we had anticipated and were told by the person at reception that this was not a problem, we could check into our room early. As there were four of us travelling together we had booked a private room with an en-suite. We left all of our belongings in the room, locked up, and... More

Firstly can I apologise that you had a negative experience with us. We do our best to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable stay here. Unfortunately this situation occurred from a very simple misunderstanding and snowballed into something of a fiasco! The review is surprisingly accurate and I don't question anything the reviewer has said, but there are two... More

I stayed a couple of days there in a nice big dorm which has it's own bathroom, probably the best room in the house although the shared bathrooms are always clean as well. The staff was always very friendly so I always had someone to talk to or to go somewhere with. The common kitchen, dining room, lounge and beer... More

Nice hostel with a really good location. Shops and coast are near and great pubs at 5 minutes walk. Facilities in the hostel are very good and you can always find someone to chat in the lounge room. If you need a friendly and good place to stay in Torquay I would recomend this hostel.

Nice place, nice people, clean and friendly. The hostel has a kitchen, where you can cook your meals. A living room, with tv, sofas, a guitar, board games and plenty of books. Outside there's a pool table. 5 minuts walking you'll find pubs and bars. My favourite one: Cider Press, where you can hear great live music. Go here, you... More
