Derwent Hotel, Torquay If you stay here, be aware that the norovirus is running through the hotel, the hotel is not warning you before you turn up. We spent a lovely week in the Derwent Hotel just before Christmas. We were part of a group playing bowls ( a well organised tournament). Our room was fine - clean and warm. There was a choice of food and the entertainment was enjoyable. more

My family and I have stayed at this hotel every year for the past 10 years! Obviously.....we love it here!!! Some of the rooms do need updating admittedly, but the staff are very friendly, the food is lovely, the vegetarian menu at the Derwent is extensive, there are lots of daily and evening activities....and the games room, spa and pool... more

Just had 3 nights at the Derwent with my 3 children aged 10, 12, 14. Excellant value for money. Good leisure facilities and they loved the Arena Bar.
