We stayed for one night at this lovely hotel and now wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Torquay. Very friendly proprietors, lovely ambience and atmosphere, classy surroundings, great little touches (such as the mints which were refreshed and the postcards) and first class food, both dinner and breakfast. Very clean surroundings, very comfortable and clean room. Excellent! more

We have been going to the Riveira for 10yrs or more and have stayed in many hotels inc big 1s, but have found the perfect hotel at last prestine clean excellent food, pool was cold but clean, good hosts we will not be looking anywhere else in future, looking forward to our next visit 2008. more

This is our 5th stay at this hotel, it only gets better. The hotel is spotless, rooms are comfy and bathrooms refurbished. The lounge and bar area very cosy. From the outside the hotel looks well kept. When we arrived we were met and taken to our room No 5. The room is very well fitted and decorated, the en-suite is brand new but overall the room is very small. We had a problem when we failed to get any cold water from tap or toilet. Found this hotel on Trip Advisor & delighted with choice. Easy to book on website, very welcoming helpful "staff", clean, excellent food. You can eat dinner in the conservatory overlooking the pool which overlooks Torbay. Wouldn't look anywhere else next time in Torquay. Only minor drawback is it is up a hill!! but a lot are in this resort. more

Having stayed in 4 and 5* hotels in England which were awful I was a little hopeful that this late booking to take the in-laws away for a few days would at least be OK. I needn't have worried.
