Your three day stay in the Haytor was an absolute pleasure. The service was excellent, the room was fine and the breakfast was substantial. Throughout, Peter and Roger were fine hosts and very responsive to our needs etc. We will be happy to stay again and recommend it to family and friends.

Our hosts Roger and Peter are very lovely, easy going and know how to make one feel welcome and at home. At check-in, their experience shows, as they had everything neatly covered, or at hand for almost any enquiry. A relief not to have to run back, to inquire about missing details, (such as the wifi password) which they supplied... More

We stayed at the Haytor Hotel for 4 nights in March. We got a warm welcome and a smooth check in from Roger and Peter. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and our room was light and airy, well equipped and clean. We really loved our breakfasts - it has been many decades... More

Thank you for your lovely review and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. For readers interest, there have been some soap opera like developments in the lives of our visiting ducks. A longtime pair of wild ducks visit most days to swim in our pond, recently a second male duck has joined them, and the female is paying a little... More

Tucked away just a few minutes walk from the bustling Torquay harbour is this haven of tranquillity, the Haytor hotel. A gravel car park at the front, uniquely divided into spaces by small marker stones, leads to this delightful Victorian villa. Set in beautifully tended gardens, although seemingly surrounded by other buildings, it is relaxed and private. We are welcomed... More

Stayed a night with three work colleagues and we were all very impressed with the Haytor Hotel. Peter and Roger were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating - they even opened the kitchen an hour early so we could have breakfast (which was delicious). The grounds were beautiful, the bar and dining room were charming, and the room was very clean... More

We stayed here for one night on a theatre trip. The welcome was delightful, the room was comfortable, loved the decor. Breakfast was very nice including marmite, served with a smile from the joint owner. The location was ideal for all the town amenities. Would certainly come back again.

Peter and Roger were very helpful. Promptly responded to request for specific room style, provided travel advice with sat nav instructions. Fabulous hotel, a short walk to town and a nice walk to Hope's Nose. Comfy double bedroom + shower (No.14) was tidy, quiet, clean, modern, spacious. Yummy breakfast.

We were visiting relatives in the area and my father-in-law picked this B&B for convenience. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival. The room was nicely decorated and cosy. The bar looked well stocked, unfortunately we didn't have time to sample it. The following morning breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of choice and well cooked, nicely presented. Check out... More

Beautifully looked after - over and above the norm. Great communication before arrival. Comfortable bedroom, quiet, clean and tidy with a very nautical theme - perfect for the location. Modern bathroom with lovely fluffy towels. Delicious breakfast. Very amenable to an earlier breakfast with perfectly poached eggs. Perfect location for walking into town for restaurants - with a great choice... More
