Had a great week at this hotel in July. Peter and Roger were so helpful all week. I am disabled, walking with sticks and have a mobility scooter, and always finding hotels on holiday difficult to sleep in etc, but not here. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows fantastic, (wanted to take both back home with me). They... More

Stayed here for one night. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and shown to our room on the ground floor. This had to be the smallest, most compact room we have ever stayed in and we both did not sleep particularly well, due to the size of the bed and the poor quality pillows. The ensuite bathroom was... *** Please note, we believe this is a mistaken review and does not refer to a room in the Haytor Hotel **** We believe this guest has confused their stay at our hotel with another property they may have stayed in. As the guest was with us just for one night, we presume they were staying in a number of... More

Excellent from the moment we drove up the well maintained and spotless drive, the gardens were immaculate and the entrance perfect...we knew from this point we had made the right choice. Welcomed by Peter and Roger, two genuinely friendly and professional guys...they filled us with local tips on where to eat and good places to visit. We booked two rooms,... More

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and thank you for your kind comments. We're pleased you enjoyed our locally sourced breakfast and had the chance to try the local restaurants which Torquay has a wide range from chippies to Michelin starred. Regrding the shower, we're sorry you experienced an issue with water pressure, Torquay does occasionally... More

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and loved every minute of our stay. On our arrival we received a lovely welcome from Roger, we were given lots of information about places to go and good places to eat. We were taken to our room and very impressive it was too. Spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and... More

Just back from a short stay (unfortunately) at this very elegant but friendly hotel We were greeted by one of the owners , who checked us in gave us loads of info about places to visit and even took us to our room which was elegant, spotless and had everything we needed. I made the comment to my girlfriend just before we arrived that it couldn't really be hard to run a B&B around Cornwall/Devon. You buy a decent house, in a decent area and from there it'd basically run itself. Ridiculous and stupid thing to say and the Haytor Hotel has comprehensively proved me wrong. This is a beautiful house, in... More

We have just returned from a 2 night last minute break at Haytor Hotel. This is a very pleasant small hotel with adequate free parking - which is a bonus for hotels in Torquay as most I looked at didn't have parking facilities. The gardens are beautiful and we sat outside and enjoyed a pleasant coffee and a local beer... More
