We stayed there on a beautiful day. Great views of sea and 20 minute walk to city centre but be warned there are a few hills.Outdoor brasserie serving reasonably priced food but the drinks are a bit pricey and the staff were not particularly friendly.Check in was efficient.Rooms quite noisy but not from other residents but kitchen staff.Bathroom could do... more

Having stayed here on business a few times over the last ten years I have been back on a number of occasions and spent my own money rather than the company's on excellent food in a great location. The service has always been top notch and the standards are very high not least of all because it is a hotel... more

Arriving there we did not exactly got what we expected, but firstly the positive side. The hotel is located approximatels 20-30 min. walk from Torquay town on a calm hill with a wonderfull view over the bay. As the weather was very nice, you could play tennis or mini-golf or just relax and having a drink outside. The hotel is... more

The Good: Location - quiet and in a nice area of Torquay Stunning views from front of hotel - beautiful view across Meadfoot bay Grounds - nice terrace outside, tennis court, easy parking etc. The public areas of the hotel are well kept, comfortable and certainly live up to expectations of a 4* hotel. Good range of facilities - tennis... more

A long weekend was more than enough, will not ignore trip advisor reviews in the future, (especially suspicious full 5 ratings) reception staff plesant, other staff uninterested, housekeeping and dining facilities very poor. Will stick to the Imperial or Grand for future trips. more

This is a gem of a hotel. Staff were great - attentive, polite and unobtrusive. The room was old school in design - this is no chic minimal hotel - but that style would be out of place in the wonderful Georgian(?) crescent. My room (Walden) was excellent and I have to say everywhere in the hotel was spotless, absolutely... more

the hotel is situated about 15 minutes walk from the town centre and even though its up hill its not a bad walk as long as its not raining the hotel is very pretty from the outside and the room we were given was at the rear so no sea views there are only 13 rooms with sea views so... more

On arrival we got no help with our bags and it is very difficult to park outside the hotel. The room had a very good layout with a separate room for the children and the views were good. However the bedroom and bathroom were not cleaned properly during our stay and we had to complain twice to have it cleaned... more

Booked a long weekend over the Bank Holiday and had a wonderful stay. the location is simply stunning - the staff are helpful and dedicated. The rooms are well furnished and not at all stuffy - one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in (sea view room on 3rd floor). Booking (via email) was simple and efficent... more

Came down to Torquay to visit famiily. The whole family had dinner at the Osborne, the staff were very accomodating, catering for both adults and children. The food was simple and tasty but well prepared, the children were looked after really well. Service was wonderful and with that kind of settling we couldnt believe that we were able to get a... more
