When I stayed in this hotel I was doing loads of business travel, on a budget, and after a while you get a bit dazed and confused staying in the same identical business cheapo hotels. So, the lady who did my admin for me, Pauline, took it upon herself to find me hotels to provide a bit of variety, by... more

We loved the hotel. The service was attentive and friendly without being snooty. Our room was so lovely - warm, comfortable, stylish, lots of storage space and well chosen fittings. Every meal, including dinner, was delicious. We loved the Osborne and will definitely return and recommend to others. Thank you Osborne and staff. more

We drove to the Torquay area having made no bookings. Thus we were passing trade and had never heard or been in the Hotel prior. On arrival we were greeted by and efficent and friendly receptionist who gave us a Sea facing family room for £110 per night. We booked for 3 nights. The room was spacious and had a... more

My cousin and I have just returned from a 3 night stay. We had 2 sea view rooms on the top floor. The rooms were not palatial but perfectly adequate for us. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless but I agree that although they have been superficially refurbished they are basically still as they would have been many years ago.... more

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite at all times. We found the service very slick, and the food was superb. I would say however that eating at the restaurant for the whole of our 4 night stay was possibly a bad idea as veg was fairly minimal. I was pleased that some of the fish served... more

I am 9 years old and I went to this hotel for four nights and heres what I thought we had a suite with sea view and balcony. Room was large clean and had a cozy sofa bed and bed. I was able to watch my own dvds in my room at night with a dvd player and tv provided.... more

This hotel is massively over rated. Three star would be more than sufficent. 200 pound per night we paid for us to make our own bed, clean our own toiltet, supply our own sugar, have to ask for clean sheets, ask for our inclusive robes, ask for the fruit to be removed after 4 days of going off in the... more

sad to say my party and i had dreadful food poisoning from the place -felt so strongly reported it to the environmental health, staff were arrogant and disinterested, eating areas were dirty, will not go back, too many better venues who appreciate your custom in the Torbay area to bother with this one until its had a radical shake up... more

Upon hearing the accusation put forward of food poisoning. The hotel immediately contacted an independent environmental advisor and samples of the alleged food were sent for analyse. The samples in question were reported to be free of all possible threats of food poisoning and a clean bill of health given , we found claims of food poisoning to be unsubstantiated...

We stayed there on a beautiful day. Great views of sea and 20 minute walk to city centre but be warned there are a few hills.Outdoor brasserie serving reasonably priced food but the drinks are a bit pricey and the staff were not particularly friendly.Check in was efficient.Rooms quite noisy but not from other residents but kitchen staff.Bathroom could do... more

Having stayed here on business a few times over the last ten years I have been back on a number of occasions and spent my own money rather than the company's on excellent food in a great location. The service has always been top notch and the standards are very high not least of all because it is a hotel... more
