Very attractive hotel (converted crescent of terrace houses) with a sea view, set in nice gardens. Easy walk down to a beach, although the centre of Torquay is probably too far to walk for most people or for a family with children (there is a bus to the town centre). The gardens feature a good sized pool and a very... More

The hotel is a converted row of fine homes overlooking Torbay and in a peaceful location without the noise of traffic. It is a combination of hotel and timeshare with adequate free and secure parking although if you park in the rear there is a few minute walk. We had a junior suite overlooking Torbay and the view was as... More

Stayed here a number of times and had a great experience. Had wedding breakfast here and they were really helpful. A number of timeshare apartments take up most of the building and these are better value with all the hotel facilities. Lovely views and within walking distance of Torquay A fab village if you follow the left road out of... More

Wow! When we arrived and looked up at this place we thought we were in heaven. Even with the sun not shining this place looks lovely and in fact the gardens, tennis courts, outdoor pool and walks were lovely. Our room 'wellswood' looked lovely too and impressive BUT the bed was like a slab of marble, the pillows were like... More

I had an excellent impression when we pulled up in the taxi upon arrival. The crescent is beautiful and the views from right infront of the hotel are breathtaking. They have to be the best views onto Torbay anywhere around. Checking in was easy enough but they could have given us some more information, we were not told to where... More

Firstly, this Hotel has some of the best seaviews in the southwest and the crescent old style exterior adds to its quaint position and history. The rooms are a little dated and little can be done to change this so be kind and enjoy the grand position in front of the meadfoot bay. This is at best a low end... More

Spent 4days here in glorious weather, 2nights in rear room then 2nights in sea facing room. Both rooms were of good size, comfortable and spotlessly clean, the issue with the first room was that when you sat on the WC your left arm was rubbing against the toilet roll holder which could easily be repositioned to the right! The sea... More

We arranged to meet friends for lunch on the terrace. What a wonderful way to spend a few hours and enjoy some good food and excellent service. You can sit on the terrace looking out to sea, have lunch and then move up a level to more comfortable seating and enjoy a really relaxed time to talk over coffee. We... More

We were moved to this hotel after booking elsewhere via Hotels.com and being double booked. I am so glad we were as it was simply the best hotel in Torquay, and we have stayed in many hotels in Torquay and around the world. The staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The room was large, overlooked the... More
