The Osborne Hotel is in an amazing location just above Meadfoot bay with wonderful views out to sea. The terrace is classical Georgian design and very striking. Unfortunately the customer service lets it down. We had a problem with food served at breakfast and also with the service in the health centre although the Manager was quick to address these... We came here for afternoon tea after a friends funeral. The views are stunning & once upon a time this was THE hotel in Torquay, very exclusive. However in recent years much of the hotel has been sold off leaving just 35 rooms, most of which have a rear view of the gardens, plus it was £4.85 for a pint... More

Great location, right on meadfoot beach with some lovely walks on the doorstep. The shabby parts of Torquay are mercifully hidden over the hill. The hotel itself has nice grounds but certainly doesn't look as fresh as in the photos, could do with a lick of paint. Inside again needs a bit of an update, feeling for the most part... More

We spent one evening here in August and booked the hotel because of the indoor and outdoor pools. On the plus side the rooms are very nice, and bigger than the average hotel room and recently redecorated. The decor in the foyer is very old fashioned and the 'reception' is an old wooden desk. It is very underwhelming. We ate... More

Was stunned when we arrived at the hotel. I knew it was on the coast but I didn't expect to see what I did. The views were stunning. The room was excellent and the breakfast was also of an excellent standard. If we were ever to go back to Torquay, we wouldn't even bother looking for anywhere else to stay.... More

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Torquay.. And I have been a few times! Can't fault our stay. Arrived and had drinks on the terrace, friendly staff and beautiful views/surroundings. We were shocked at the size of our room.. We ended up with more of a suite, it was lovely. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast... More

Stayed here in for one night in July in one of the rooms at the back. a few niggly things,I could hear the fan in the next door bathroom, could not read in bed as the table lamps were not bright enough, cheap table lamps, l found the room dark, l think the brown shades on the lights did not... Such a beautiful building with sea views and great scenery! The harbour just a few 100 yards away with a lovely little cafe on it, very calm sea lovely to swim in. The hotel walls are very thin though and can hear every little noise from other rooms.

We stayed at The Osbourne in July 2015 having seen the hotel on previous visits to the area. The hotel is located in an historical regency crescent on a hillside above a small pebbly beach and coast road. The hotel is outside Torquay on the border of Babbacombe. The location is very nice and quiet, away from the main tourist... More

Thank you for your lovely review. I am pleased to read that you were well looked after by the team at the hotel and you are quite correct in saying that we have a quiet location. It is an ideal spot to relax and recharge. I will try and provide a bit of sun for your next visit. Sincerely More
