After travelling overnight and arriving early we popped into the hotel to ask if there was a possibility to get into our room early. The staff were more than accommodating and said that we could come back in a couple of hours when the room would be available. When we turned up they staff let us have coffee whilst the... More

My colleague and I arrived late afternoon to an extremely poor car park... if you have anything but a smart car then you will struggle to manoeuvre around this one. The lobby/lounge/dining room has all obviously had a lot of money spent on it, and it is lovely...it’s a shame this hasn't been created in the rooms. We upgraded to... More

Just arrived back from a 3 night break for our wedding anniversary. We arrived around 7 30 pm on a Saturday evening and found the car park to be full, basically first come first served, so we parked on the roadside. We were greeted by a friendly helpful young girl (long blonde hair) and check in was quick. First impressions... More

Just back from a 3 night stay on a b and b basis. On entering the hotel, first impressions were good, the décor to lounge and bar areas were nice, art deco style, and the dining room was light, with a pleasant outlook. Our room was very disappointing, very small and tired. The en suite had been squeezed in to... More

Spent a surprise night here for my birthday and would certainly return for a longer stay. The receptionist was very bubbly and friendly and looked after our bags as the room wasn't quite ready and we wanted to go out. The room was clean and airy and although it had no view it was fantastic value as we had booked... More

Great place to stay although it was a 15 min walk in to town (downhill), all staff friendly and helpful. Check in and out was easy, room was nice size with balcony, the only problem was shower pressure and control.

On entering the hotel, I was quite impressed as the decor was nice and fresh. However, arriving at the room it was another case entirely! It was small - which is fine as who needs a big room to sleep in, however it was quite tired. Clean but could do with a refresh. The shower head was fixed to the... More

A party of 14 went to the Gleneagles {following my stepfathers funeral ] and all I can say is the Gleneagles did an amazing job,,we had what they call afternoon tea which consisted of lovely sandwiches pastries and freshly baked scones with cream and jam..there was so much food we ended up with doggie bags..the setting was lovely we sat... My family (wife, teenage son and daughter) stayed here for my cousin's wedding along with quite a few other members of the family. I hadn't realised before our arrival that this was the Hotel that Monty Python stayed in and which inspired John Cleese to write Fawlty Towers. All I can say is that the service has obviously improved immensely... More

On arrival we were shown to a small room with a view of the car park. We asked if there was a nicer room and were taken immediately to a larger room with a lovely sea view.........so, if this room was available why were we not offered it ? Would have given a much better first impression. The exterior of... More
