If you've got a sense of humour, this is for you. If you require the waiting staff to be subservient and deferential, forget it. On the other hand, if you like a good old earthy banter in the bar, you will like this (if you're a northerner you are more likely to understand the humour - but we southerners got... More

It's quite hard to pin this place down, as the excellent food is offset somewhat by the oft-mentioned "banter" and some tired-looking decor. Having said that admittedly it's hard to complain too much as the rates are very cheap. I travelled alone and I'd rung up earlier in the week to check that I could leave a bag with them... More

Very rude arrogant imprudent people with no sense of respect or understanding. Disgusting would be a better word. A mere misunderstanding over the phone gives the right to receptionist to shout at you on the phone. You almost feel like the hotel or rather the dump is doing you a favour by allowing you to stay there rather than the... More

Our first visit to Brampton was a pleasant surprise. very friendly staff, nice food and clean functional rooms, what more do you want from a 3 star hotel, a bar ? yes ! they've even got one of those. Nothing was too much trouble for Pat and Graham. Will definitely be returning

We decided to return to Torquay and stay at the Brampton Court Hotel after last years experience. All I can say is if you want a good value 3 star hotel with clean and tidy rooms look no further. Once again the hosts Phil & Sarah bent over backwards to make your stay more like home from home. The breakfast... More

We went there for a night and we arrived late but we still had a friendly welcome. It was a friendly place to be and a nice place to eat with friendly staff. The room was nice but with a few tweaks it would be cosier. It had a pool table and good WiFi. We had a good breakfast.

Stayed 2 nights on stag weekend. Hotel was good for boys trip but would not recommend as anything else. Breakfast OK bar good with pool table. Rooms were OK with TV and tea/coffee. Set on top of the hill was a bit steep to climb at 2am (counted the steps down 220!) Good hotel but not for couples or family.

We have just returned from a stay at Bramton Court. A group of us were in Torquay for a stag weekend and were booked into a different hotel (which I won't name here but will post them a review seperately!) when we arrived at the other hotel we were told our "booking had been cancelled" insisting they'd emailed us to...
