Such an amazing Guest House which is owned by lovely Hosts , Gerry and Susan. From the minute we got there we were offered coffee , given a map of the local area and of tourist attractions. Our room was very well equipped with an electric shower , ceiling fan which was perfect as the weather was fabulous during our stay... We have just returned from a family weekend away in Torquay staying at The Haute Epine Guest house. From my initial enquiry and throughout our stay Gerry was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable recommending places to eat and visit locally. The rooms were all clean and tidy with such comfortable beds, and the breakfast was excellent and plenty of it,... More

Really pleasant, welcoming, caring and helpful hosts in Susan and Gerry. The guest house is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the breakfasts excellent. Well located for easy access to Torquay town, beaches and transport links. Tremendous value for money and somewhere I would certainly stay at again.

There's something to be said about a place, offering not only nice and clean rooms, but also great food and advice on places to visit. Gerry, the owner of Haute Epine made sure that two students from Switzerland (my schoolmate and I) had a great stay in the Torbay area. If I ever find myself back in that area of... More

Very nice little B&B In a good location for Torquay, Haute Epine has got to be the best place to stay on a budget. Rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The ensuite shower room was very small but this is not unexpected. Susan and Gerry were lovely and most knowledgeable about the area. At breakfast nothing was too much trouble... More

We stayed in the guest house this weekend over the bank holiday, both susan and gerry were lovely and always there to help when needed. the only downsides werethat there was a lack of hot water and that the bed was not the most comfiest. yet the hospitality that we received made up for the downsides ofthe guest house.

I can't say enough good things about our vacation at the Haute Epine. I have never met a host and hostess who worked so hard to make our stay a memorable one. Throughout our stay, Gerry and Susan were happy to help us plan excursions, or offer directions to local areas. They made us feel really welcome in their home.... More

Small Victorian terraced house in good state of decoration. A warm welcome from Sue and Jerry for whom nothing was too much trouble. Bottle water was supplied as water in rooms not suitable for drinking. Alternatives to the cooked breakfast such as poached or scrambled eggs were available and were more to my liking all cooked fresh. The negative points were... More

I arrived at Haute Epine on the Saturday to be met by Gerry who took my suitcase straight up to my room, while Susan sat me in the lounge and made me a very welcome cup of tea, these 2 lovely people made me feel at home straight away, as the week unfolded I could see why people come back... More

Stayed for 7 days in July 2012. We were spoilt from the moment we walked into their home. Nothing was too much trouble. Good home cooked food and plenty of it. All our needs were catered for. Gerry and Sue are the perfect hosts. Their living room is given to the guest to watch tv, dvd's and make use of... More
