My wife and I visited here for a weekend In August for our wedding anniversary. It is a charming old manor house that oozes character. The staff are very polite and courteous and you feel very relaxed from the moment you enter. The room we stayed in had quality thick carpets, a four poster bed and was lovely. The only... More

We stayed for a 2 night break in the spring and it was just wonderful, very friendly staff, lovely comfortable room with sea views. We were invited by the hotel to join in on the murder mystery night and we are so glad we did! It was great fun, very well organised by the hotel and the theatre company. The... More

Have just had 3 lovely nights in Room 6 - comfortable bed, quality linens/towels, gorgeous bathroom with huge bath and separate shower, spotless throughout. Staff were very courteous. Beautiful views from the dining room/terrace. The menu was excellent, lots of choice both for Breakfast and Dinner (I didn't sample the daytime menu, but they do serve lunch/afternoon teas). My only... More

We stayed one night in July in gorgeous weather which made the whole place feel like the south of France. Tricky to find down a very narrow country lane this looks and feels like an old large country house with lovely gardens. The staff were charming and attentive. We stayed on the top floor in a room with our own... More

We have just returned from a week stay and feel totally relaxed. Orestone Manor is set in a beautiful location and has pretty gardens and stunning views. Our room was spotless, the most comfortable superking bed ever. Our bathroom was the size of some hotel rooms! (room 6). It had a fantastic roll top bath as well as a shower... More

We had a very pleasant stay at Orestone. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were freshly cooked to order with plenty to choose from. Dinner was also excellent. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with a lovely outlook. Now the plumbing - the bathroom and toilet were separate. The shower is in need of updating - it... More

I am Glad you were so pleased with your stay with us. I will of course have the noisy flush in that room dealt with. Had we known I would have sorted it during your stay. I hasten to add this is not indicative of the plumbing here. The shower head in some of the rooms is the "Drench" Style... More

We spent 3 nights at the Orestone Manor as part of a trip to explore the South Western area around Devon. The hotel was stunning and food, service, location was first class. It is a family run hotel with only 12 rooms and you are made to feel special by the staff who cannot do enough for the guests. I... More

My family and I had dinner here to celebrate my Fathers 70th birthday while on a family holiday in Maidencombe. This is a wonderful old house set in gorgeous gardens with a fantastic view of the bay. As you enter you are transported back to a time of high teas served by butlers and maids in crisp pinny's served on... More

2 nights at Orestone Manor just a couple of miles from Torquay proved to be lovely. Helpful staff, friendly hosts; hearty breakfasts set us up for the day. Great location, beautiful views, peaceful, tranquil, lovely country garden, an excellent base for walking; Orestone Manor is a lovely small hotel.
