We chose to book a last minute trip with our two young children to babbacombe last week and this hotel was recommended to us by a neighbouring hotel who were fully booked (what a stroke of luck as it would take an awful lot to beat our experience at the babbacombe bay hotel!) We spoke to roy and explained we... More

turned up one afternoon looking for a room, and the hotel luckily enough was empty! We were offered a choice of rooms, and all were stunning. The staff were more than helpful and the room we chose was one with the steps to the roof terrace, stunning. The massive bed was incredibly comfortable and although the bathroom didn't actually have... More

Someone on the internet has copied this hotel's website and is saying it's closed. We found out quite the opposite. Roy could not have been more welcoming, and though the weather wasn't great we had a fantastic time. The rooms really are as lovely as they look on the [right] website and the views are second to none. An awful... More

We turned up on the doorstep at 8 pm at night on 20th July 2012 and were welcomed warmly by Roy. He gave us the choice of two lovely rooms and we opted for a beautiful large room with a sea view - with a shower room to die for. Well equipped with a basket of fluffy white towels. Very... More

Stayed here from 7-9 July and this is a little gem right on the cliff top with fabulous views. Ok it's more of a luxury B&B than a hotel as it doesn't have a bar or a restaurant at the moment but the breakfast was great and Roy and his team are very welcoming. Nothing is rushed and you can't... More

My sister and I stayed here for four nights 24 to 29th june. Roy the owner was very welcoming. We stayed in the balcony room which would be good as a family room as it had a king sized bed and a single bed, Its a lovely light room with a big bathroom and shower. The room also has a... More

We chose this hotel based on the pictures on its website, location and its views and the fact that most of the reviews are good. Roy the owner made us a most welcome cup of tea on arrival. The room was lovely as were the views – cleanliness was questionable, the top of the wardrobe was thickly covered with dust!... More

We recently stayed at this ''hotel'' and although the location and views were great and our stay comfortable, it somehow seemed to lack lustre and atmosphere . Not only that, there is no cafe / bistro / restaurant nor bar as the site infers, not even a minibar in the room -so we did feel a bit cheated on that... More

The hotel has good ratings on Trip Advisor and its own website and pictures looked good, so we were expecting something really special, but to be honest we were disappointed. Attention to practical details and cleanliness was lacking. I think our room was cleaned everyday, although we'd left a bit of talc on the bathroom floor and it was still... More

We attended a function at the Palace Hotel but couldn't get a room there. We had a superb room shown in the photo, bed was really comfortable the shower was nice. Our friends another room upstairs with its own roof terrace. Great views out over the bay. Breakfast in the morning was really good I had full English my wife... More
