A fantastivc hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Fantastic views in a lovely location. Breakfast was amazing, better than some of the 5* London Hotels I have stayed in. Will most certainly be back.

We have been here twice now and can really recommend. The first time we had luxury high tea which I have to say was the best I've had in the bay and such a treat. 2nd was for a family meal, Babbacombe is such a lovely setting and views to die for. We sampled mushroom soup, crab cakes, lamb shank,... More

My wife and I booked this charming little hotel very last minute and were stunned when we arrived! We were travelling to the hotel on the Saturday afternoon and even received a call from the receptionist asking if we were ok and what time we may be arriving... a nice touch When we arrived we were greeted by the same... We stayed last weekend as a family group , having 3 rooms, all of which were beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The staff were all professional but really friendly and the breakfast choices and quality were excellent. We would certainly stay again when coming to Torbay and thought it was very good value for money. A most enjoyable weekend break!

We stayed in the Downs suite for the weekend and it was lovely. As many of the other reviews say, I wouldn't describe this as a 'suite' as such, as it doesn't really have a separate sitting area, but it was beautiful never the less. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the terrace was a nice to sit... More

Recently the subject of a total, and very tasteful, re-furbishment, this hotel/cafe/restaurant has splendid views across the bay. We stayed in The Downs Suite, but were not sure that the space lives up to the description of a suite - more of an en-suite bedroom with a walk- in wardrobe: we wanted somewhere where one person could rest in bed... It is so disappointing to receive a review such as this knowing that everyone in my hotel has bent over backwards to give a first class service. The Babbacombe Bay Hotel is a 10 bedroom boutique hotel. We don't pretend to be anything else and all our literature is clear and honest that we do not have the facilities of... More

I took my elderly parents to the Babbacombe Bay Café and was most impressed. The waiter who served us was very friendly and smartly dressed. The cream tea was delightful and very well presented. I had a prawn sandwich served with a lovely fresh salad, most delicious. My parents and I really enjoyed it. Will certainly recommend this place and... More

Me and my partner only needed to stay for one night, we usually stay in Torquay but thought we would stay somewhere different this time as it was a short visit. There is no parking at the hotel, however a pay and display car park behind which charges £3 for 24 hours. We did think the hotel may have paid... More

I was very disappointed to hear you had not been totally happy with your stay. I was a little confused by your review as you seem to have scored us very highly but did not seem content. We do publicise on our website that there is no onsite parking. We apologise for this fact but this is due to the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Babbacombe Bay Hotel for one night on Friday 3rd April. We were initially disappointed as we thought the hotel had resident parking, but that was a mistake on my part for assuming and not reading the hotel details properly. Although when you pay £155 for one night b&b I don't think it's unreasonable... More

We are sorry that you felt you had not experienced the best stay with us. As you said we do make customers aware there is no onsite parking due to the age of the property and our excellent location on the seafront. However there is plenty of free on road parking all around the hotel and a pay and display... More

Felt right from the moment we arrived. Wanted somewhere special as wedding anniversary, and this certainly ticked the box. Lovely decor with nice touches, with the Lyme suite overlooking the sea a must. Staff couldn't have been friendlier with nothing too much trouble. Coffee shop and bistro well worth a visit. Great atmosphere for a nice coffee with a wide... More
