stayed in a two bedroom suite with a friend,as were off to a party. It had a large lounge with sliding doors onto a huge patio, the main bedroom also had sliding doors out onto the same patio with amazing views over the coastline of Paignton. The other bedroom was small with ensuite. All very clean comfortable beds . A... More

We have been frequent visitors to the Imperial for the past 10 years but unfortunately for us its been getting worse. The breakfast is just awful, not enough room, people left queuing in the hallway like animals!! We gave up bed and breakfast a long time ago. Parking is not free, which is a bit of a gripe, particularly with... More

Dear BarmyBrummie1986, I am sorry to learn that on this occasion your stay didn’t meet our usual high standards. We have many guests that agree that we are dog friendly. The reason we only allow dogs in selected premium rooms is because these have patio door/ garden access. There is a price difference as these rooms have a sea view.... More

i was upgraded to a premium room and it was excellent location. Although it is within walking distance from all local shops etc. but people with ltd. mobility may find it difficult to walk to local amenities.

Had some time off so I booked us a stay at this hotel over the weekend to see the sights at night in Torquay. .... the staff were very friendly and helpful and as I used to be in the hotel game myself some years ago I know how important it is to provide a great service, we were upgraded... More

Have just stayed here for one night in a corner suite, room 210. The view from here (floor to ceiling windows) of Torbay is totally stunning. The lounge is huge, grand and homely with a fireplace, balcony and traditional furniture . The large bedroom has a four poster bed, and as well as the lounge, has floor to ceiling windows... More

We stayed here in December when attending a Christmas function at the hotel, the rooms that do not have a sea view are nothing special, they are the usual slightly dated decor you would expect, creaky floorboards and old fashioned bathrooms. Ours overlooked the staff quarters, the window would not shut properly so there was the constant sound of extractor... More

Our room on 2nd floor was fabulous with views over the sea and harbour. Dinner on the first night was fantastic with the service being impeccable. Breakfast was lovely with everything you could possibly want. The first morning lovely relaxing music was being played which added to the atmosphere. We chose the hotel for the spa facilities but were disappointed... More

We booked a room online for a special occasion night away. The deal included a premium room, a three course dinner with wine and breakfast the next morning at an exceptional price. On arrival check in was quick, friendly and professional, having my details ready immediately and we were offered an up grade to a deluxe room. The room was... More

My partner an I recently found a fabulous weekend break at The Imperial Hotel through secret escapes. The deal itself was amazing value for money. We bought a two night stay with breakfast, which offered a three course meal (with a bottle of wine) in the restaurant and an afternoon tea within the package. Upon arrival the reception staff were... More

This is our favourite Torquay hotel as it has features that suit us best with a fairly small distance to travel. The views from the sea facing side are incomparable looking over Torbay towards Brixham . The bedrooms and public areas really do not deserve the 4 stars awarded-3 would be fairer as the hotel is past its best. However... More
