We stayed here about five years ago when the Imperial was part of the Paramount group. We complained at the time because our room had stains on the wall and on the carpet. Having heard that Barcelo had spent £2m on a re-fit we booked a Premiun room (at £309 for 2 nights) and, to our horror, were shown to... more

Just returned from a two night stay with my partner and two teenagers. The hotel is in a great location and our deluxe room was excellent, well appointed, roomy and a wonderful sea view. But, oh dear, the rest of the hotel is really struggling... Breakfast on the first day was taken in a sea of dirty uncleared tables which... more

Having stayed at The Imperial many times as a young child and, four years ago with family, I was enormously disappinted to find what was once an amazingly welcoming, warm and traditional hotel is now a shadow of its former self. The furnishings used to be grand and magnificent, shiny and well cared for. Sadly much of this furniture has... more

Stayed here a few times many years ago and I don't think anything has been done since, which is a great shame as the building itself and the location and views are superb. They also charge £7 a day car parking for residents! Out of season and when the car park wasn't even half full is really penny pinching and... more

I had a really lovely stay at the Imperial and....we also had excellent weather! Everything about the hotel was fine. The location perfect, the room was lovely- a twin deluxe sea view. The balconies are really large and the views are wonderful. All in all I could not fault this hotel, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly which is not... more

Lovely hotel, bedrooms and bathrooms a little dated, dining room lovely with view across the bay. Our deal included dinner on first night (£29 per person) We chose to pay supplement for steak etc. and had wine. We had to sign the bill although we said it was included in the price of the deal. At check out they tried... more

We had read the reviews before we went on a coach holiday to this hotel and were a bit apprehensive , but we loved it. We requested a sea view room and were more than happy with the suite of rooms we got - a hallway, bathroom , single room with balcony and a large double with balcony. The views... more

O.K so its not the managements fault that in The 1970's someone ripped off the Edwardian exterior and turned it into a Soviet Style concrete block but first impressions don't really help. The Hotel is extremely tired, old fashioned without any charm. and for £120.00 for a Car Park View Room incredibly expensive. The cold Breakfast Buffet was appalling. It... more

It is always sad to read a review such as this I can only assume we did something quite terrible to incite such comments. It's true to say that the standard guest rooms are not as delightful as the sea views however they have the same facilities. Our Breakfast buffet has In excess of 50 different food items, this does...
