Tried booking the Cliff House this week for a few days in August and after seeing that the website was offline i tried calling them to no avail. A long established gay hotel this place is one of those strange places that you could criticise if you wanted to be an idiot' but with maturity the realisation is that the occasional flaws only add to it's charm, character and almost magnetic re-visit asap attraction. if you are looking for a hotel that is modern but with the chic class of olde this is the spot..great view from ocean side windows. breakfast and dinner are lovely as well,. great location for other touring as well

We had an enjoyable stay here. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Torquay very close to the sea at Meadfoot Beach, less than ten minutes' walk from The Meadfoot Inn, Torquay's long-established straight-friendly gay pub and about fifteen minutes into town. Everyone we met made us feel really welcome and were so friendly, we were made to feel at home right from the start. The location was great, the service warm and welcoming and the room comfy...and Roberts cooked breakfast did the job, book with confidence, we will be going back as soon as we can.

Gay hotel in quite location with very nice rooms and gardens. Breakfast is very good and served until 10.00am wich is ubusual for the UK. Priced resonable for UK standards. I have been twice to the Cliff House, once in January and again in April both 2013. Any criticism of the hotel would be entirely confined to the heating of public spaces but in good temperatures, both the terrace, garden and lounge are a real delight.
