We stayed here for short one night getaway. We were upgraded on arrival to a family room. Bed was clean and fresh smelling, and provided us with a good night's sleep. Otherwise the facilities were poor. Extremely noisy bed even when just turning over. Very creaky floorboards. Over bath shower. No towels provided. English breakfast was OK, but could be... More

After an overly long journey fro North Devon, our party of 11 Hens arrived at The Concorde. We were greeted by Matthew the owner who showed us to our rooms. Two rooms on the ground floor & two adjoining rooms down on the pool level which was perfect for our party. The rooms were clean & had everything that we... More

Scaffolding all over the hotel, looked like a hostel from a horror movie. Greeted by lovely man (the owner) who apologised for the look of the place. Though everything was clean, and the staff lovely, the accomodation was in need of updating. Our 'family' room was small hot and noisy, everywhere you walked the floor and bed creaked. To get... We were met on arrival and asked to pay for our room, which we later found had not been cleaned properly. We found an orange morphine tablet on the bathroom floor, not ideal if we'd had young children. The most disgusting thing was left in the toilet someone had emptied their bowels and failed to flush, which the cleaner would... More

On arriving to the hotel at 4 pm, we checked in, on recieving the room keys (bearing in mind u only get 1key for the whole room) we had great difficulty in getting into one of the rooms, we were a group of 11 hens, and 5 people out if this group tried to get into the room. Once we... More

Manager very pleasant and helpful, breakfast service on Sunday superb, served by a very pleasant and helpful lady. Not to be said on the Monday, served by a rude and arrogant woman with no people skills, rude to everyone in restaurant, moving on apart from that a very relaxed stay, would stay again .clean and tidy.

This Torquay hotel has more than a whiff of Fawlty Towers about it, leaving you with the feeling that you have mildly inconvienenced them by staying there. On arrival the front door is locked, the expectation being that you will use a bizzare looking phone booth next to the front door to book yourself in. Having arrived after a 200... More
