I was attending a friends wedding and needed a b & b for 1 night and booked the Rutland lodge based on the reviews on trip advisor. The host has done a grand job restoring this victorian house with modern furniture/ fixtures, not what I would have expected in a B & B at all. Our room had incredibly high... more

We stayed here for 5 nights in the Twin room and had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room and bathroom was very clean and tastefully decorated and couldn't find fault. You have full use of a kitchen and lounge if you wish with on and off road parking. The host was friendly and very helpful and we would... more

Myself and my daughter stayed in a double room for 4 nights. It was wonderful to say the least. The house is beautiful and has been lovingly refurbished. It really feels like you are staying with friends in a town house, not a swirly carpet in sight. The bed was better than the one I have at home and the... more

Decorated in beautiful designer wallpapers and furnished with smart furniture and luxury linen, this hotel was a joy to stay in. Located near some lovely wine bars and restaurants, this... more

Mar 28, 2009 | Trip type: Business

In the area on business, we opted for the Rutland Lodge (after seeing it on the web and Tripadvisor) instead of the usual chain hotels. We were attracted by the look of the place, a lovely listed building, and its very modern features. A big selling point was the idea of a guest lounge with sofas to relax on and... more
