Stayed for a week just before Easter 2014, Wyn and Jan were as welcoming as they always are; the perfect hosts. Had a larger room for this stay (usually have room 4) went in room 5 this time - very nicely decorated room with a double bed and walk in shower (all rooms in this hotel are good). Burberry was... Having stayed in other so-called exceptional guest houses/hotels within Torquay the Berburry is in a class of its own. Everything you read in the brochure is 100% correct. Only regret other members of our family and friends were unable to take advantage of the hospitality of this truly superior holiday experience. Thank you Wyn, Jan and of course Stacey

Having stayed with Wyn and Jan a number of times and not previously left a TA report I decided it was time that I did. The Berburry is excellent value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Wyn and Jan are the friendliest and most welcoming hosts imaginable. We always book into the smallest room (the cosy room)... More

Six family members have just returned home after spending a week at The Berburry. After a very warm welcome by our host Wyn with trays of tea and biscuits we were shown to our very exceptional rooms . Beautifully decorated, immaculate with complimentary sweets (daily) and bottled water and beverages. The breakfasts and evening dinners were wonderfully cooked with a... More

We have just returned from a four night stay at this marvellous guest house. The decor and furnishings of the rooms are of a high standard but it's the food that is the real highlight, with excellent breakfasts and "five star" evening meals. They must use top quality suppliers, the food is cooked superbly and personally served by the genial... More

We have just returned after a weekend stay and found the rooms to be immaculate, tastefully decorated to a really high standard. The evening meal (4 courses) and breakfast were delicious and excellent value for money and we had wonderful customer service. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the marina/restaurants/shops/beach. We were welcomed by Wyn the owner, with... More

Arrived after a 5 hour drive and were shown to a room at the top of the stairs that every guest would have to walk past to get to their rooms. A double room with a three quarter bed, Really? Very small room and maybe ideal for one guest who like dated decor and furniture. No bath only a shower... More

My husband and I found this wonderful place on the internet and were looking for a quiet place for a fortnight's holiday. My husband had been very ill and we both wanted a good break to recharge our batteries. What a find this charming guest house turned out to be! Spotlessly clean, tasteful decor, perfect facilities and most of all..warm, friendly... More

My sister and I shared a room in this lovely Victorian house with 2 twin-size beds in the spring of 2012. The room was decorated beautifully, and was big enough (but not overly spacious). The adjoining bathroom had a wonderful corner tub with a seat built-in and a shower that could be removed and held by hand. The public lobbies... More

What a great welcome from Wyn and Jan on our first visit to the Berburry in Torquay. A beautiful Victorian Hotel occupying a corner plot and consisting of 9 ensuite bedrooms. Decorated to a high standard and our room was clean and comfortable. The food was very good and all home cooked. A great choice too. Nothing was too much... More
