We stayed for two nights, room immaculately clean, plenty of sockets, one right near the mirrored wardrobe, very convenient. Our kettle did not have to go on the floor!! On suite was lovely, nice hot shower. Breakfast delicious. Owner told us about a little village called Cockerton, very quaint, well worth a visit. B&B close to harbour about a 10... More

Lovely accommodation, breakfast and hostess. It was a little cold for me but the hostess doesn't feel the cold at all - she works out 4 times a week! I would recommend Sandway House. Lots of interesting places to visit and oldy worldly pubs, one of which dates back to the 1500s in Torquay. Debbie.

Stayed for one night and room fine for that, although I agree with other reviewer about kettle having to go on floor as no other plug available. Friendly landlady and b&b very clean and neat. No problem with parking at all. Breakfast was lovely coffee was hot, near to all you need, sea, shops and restaurants. We went toTorquay as... More

Travelling solo whilst in the area for work, I needed a place to stay that offered good value. Sandway House ticked all the boxes: Parking (though tight, you can reserve a spot by calling ahead) Breakfast included Centrally located I couldn't find fault at all. Decor and cleanliness are of a high standard. Breakfast was lovely. The hosts are polite,... More

Upon arriving at Sandway House, we were informed that due to a double booking by Laterooms.com and some mix up with emails, we couldn’t have the double en-suite room we had booked. Instead we would be in a twin room with shared bathroom facilities for the 1st night and would be moved for the following 2 nights. We were dismayed... More

We stayed at the Sandway for a week in August 2014, two adults and two teenaged boys. We stayed in the two twin rooms at the top of the hotel and shared a bathroom. It was great - we each had a bit of privacy and as we are family sharing the bathroom wasn't as a problem at all. The... More

Good and clean guest house.I like location and owner(nice, helpfull and friendly woman).Basic breakfast.Comfortable and clean beds.Good choice for that price(55£ per night twin room) and you can book only one night in weekend. In another cheap hotels is difficult to get room in saturday night.

I'm struggling with the wording of this review as it's a small, family run establishment and it's their livelihood, but I do need to be honest! It's very basic and simple which is ok, but no spare electricity outlets and the ones they had were behind a table so I had to scrabble around the floor and unplug other things... More
