My husband and I stayed at The Wayfarer for a 4 night break and may I say it was the best. We were welcomed at the door by Phil, the owner, and were pleasantly surprised how clean, modern and well presented the building was. We were taken to our room which was nicely decorated and well presented with even chocolates... More

I think this is very unfair. The b &b has been inspected by visit britain, who has assessed it as being of a high standard and he should know he has seen hundreds yearly,we are not 5 star or boutique, none the less for a 3-4 star rating, what we provide has been deemed very good.We have also been inspected by the tourist board,who... We have now stayed at the Wayfarer 3 times and we have not been disappointed at all. Phil and Richard are very good hosts and make us feel so welcome. The breakfast is very nice and plentiful with homemade jam and bread. The rooms and bath room are spotless .They are both always ready to help if they can and... More

I stayed here August 2013 with my son and my parents for four nights. The guys were very welcoming and our rooms were superb and very clean. The breakfasts were delicious, we had the full English breakfast every day! Plenty of tea and toast too. Excellent value for money. Our hosts couldn't do enough for us and we would definitely... Visited there this weekend July 2013 and had a great stay. Location is great only 5 mins from the town centre - no more than £5 in a taxi. There was a good choice at breakfast, no problems that we chose only what we wanted from the menu. Great guys, there to chat if you wanted to. Room was clean... More

Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and glad you enjoyed your stay with us.Sorry to learn there was a slight smell of damp, under investigation it has been found to be coming from the carpet directly outside the bathroom, where people walk on it directly from the shower. It is now being replaced and... We stayed at the Wayfarer for 1 night in May - we arrived later then expected around 7pm and waited at the door for what seemed like ages before anyone answered, we were then greeted with the comment "sorry I was nodding off" we were then left standing in the hall waiting for our room keys - not the warm... This person has already posted a review on my website, and not content with my response has clearly decided to repost here. This guest was clearly running late to get to a theatre show and has Missed part of the show and therefore decided to take it out on the Wayfarer. I emailed her 3 times as the review is not consistent... More
