The Heathcliff House Bed and Breakfast was an inexpensive, no frills bed and breakfast in Torquay. The owners / hosts were very friendly and were happy to provide recommendations around Torquay of things to do. The breakfast (served in the basement ) was prompt and offered full English, Continental and Cereal. The room was small but contained a queen bed, a small shower room (which also recommended that showers be taken in off peak hours) as well as a kettle and coffee. The decor was a little dated but it was clean. No wireless Internet. The in house lounge / bar seemed to be a gathering spot but was located away from the rooms as to not be bothersome. The parking is extremely tight. The location was in the middle of Torquay, about 5 minutes drive from the Torre Abbey and about 10 minutes from the train station. more
