Stayed last weekend. We were greeted by a lovely lady and showed us our beautifully decorated room. To be honest,I've never walked barefoot in any hotels I've stayed until here. You can see how the place was well kept and cleaned so I was that confident. It was absolutely a home away from home. Their home made breakfast was superb.... More

All the previous reviews have it covered. Warren was an excellent host and breakfast was superb, particularly liked the Fruit Sundaes. Would definitely stay again for business or leisure. It changed our opinion of Torquay as well (wasn't great before) - a lovely 20 min walk, through Torre Abbey, took us to the Marina area - loads of restaurants, bars,... More

I've stayed twice now in two separate rooms. What I have really appreciated on both occasions is the attention to detail. The beds are huge, comfy with soft cotton bed linen and down pillows. A powerful shower, air conditioning and a big TV at the end of your bed. Wifi is strong and tea and coffee making facilities come with... More

We stayed one night at the end of June to visit a local Restuarnt with friends. Jill and Warren greeted us like old friends, and the tea & cake on arrival was delicious. We stayed in Room 4 with a large double bed and lovely shower room, the room facilities are without doubt five star standard. We used the guest... More

The Kingston House in Torquay is a an absolute gem. We stayed here June for one night, after an impromptu decision to get out of London for the weekend. Upon our late arrival we were greeted by the owner, and taken to our room in the first floor. He kindly showed us around, ensuring that we were happy and comfortable... More

Stayed 2 nights at the end of June. We were greeted by Jill who offered us tea, coffee and cake. As we had arrived late afternoon on a Saturday, we were wondering where we would eat that night. We should not have been concerned. As soon as Jill asked where we would like to eat, and I mentioned a local... More

Stayed here for just the one night and will definitely be visiting again. We stayed in room number 5 and found that everything about the room was done to the highest possible standard. We have stayed in many a 4/5 star hotel and this place is as good, if not better than most off them. It is certainly a credit... More

I have never felt as welcome as I did and kingston house. Jill and warren were the best hosts you could ask for. The whole house smelt beautiful and was so clean you could really relax. The fixtures and fittings were perfect! Jill was so kind about our late check in time and made us feel at ease. The food... More
