This hotel is very good value. Décor is dated but our bathroom was newly done up with large walk in shower (no bath.) Food is hearty but unexciting, we only had dinner on the first night and then ate out. Breakfasts are good but the dining room was overcrowded, too many tables squashed together. Entertainment in the evening was very... More

The location is perfect with breathtaking views. Terrible service, rude reception staff. Communal toilets dirty and smelly. Peeling wallpaper throughout the hotel. Bedroom was sufficiently clean. We stayed for three nights and did not get towels changed during this time. The balcony was filthy with cobwebs hanging off the walls. Breakfast waiting on staff however were very pleasant. The breakfast... More

We have stayed before at the Sefton and we had booked for just one night to see a show at the Babbacombe Theatre. On arrival at reception the manager greeted us in what I can only say was a surly manner and no pleasantries at all.just gave us the keys and told us the breakfast times. The same attitude has been... We took my elderly mother for a Monday to Friday break specifically to this hotel because of its facilities for the disabled. The aforementioned faciilities were okay, just. The rest of the hotel was grim, with the exception of the waiting staff in the dining room. Our room was unkempt with dirt along all the skirting boards and numerous old... More

Once agin my wife and I spent a very enjoyable weekend at this hotel. The staff were courteous and friendly and the food was as good ,if not better, than some of the 3 and 4 star hotels I have stayed in.The hotel still could do with a bit of T.L.C.,but our was roomy ,clean and had a seaview/balcony.This the 3rd time... Having read some of the previous reviews we did wonder what this hotel was going to be like. Although I agree that the rooms need updating (pink bathroom suite which I haven't seen in years) everything was very clean and the food was very nice. It would have been good if there had been a fish option at breakfast but... More

Recently home after spending a weekend at The Sefton Hotel with my hubby, sister & brother-in-law. The hotel needs to be updated as the decor is run down but otherwise we had a great stay. The food was really, really good with lots of choices. There was a good choice for breakfast including, yogurts, cereal, prunes, apricots, museli, toast and... More

We stayed at the Sefton 4 weeks ago. We had been advised to try to get rooms 57,58 or 59 and we were lucky to get 59. Apparently these three rooms are the best in the hotel having been refurbished within the last few years. The room was lovely although the wardrobe door was difficult to close. There was a... More
