Had a great value meal here only one week after the new owner took over. 10oz sirloin steak, cooked to perfection, home made chips, home made onion rings, corn on the cob, all for £13!!!!! Fantastic real ale, welcoming staff and a real pub atmosphere. Look out for their speciality food nights, beer festival and Sunday roasts. Cannot speak too... More

Stayed here for 4 nights and ate at the pub a few times. Food and staff great but if you are looking for a five star hotel this is not the place for you. Rooms are basic and miss essentials like cupboards and drawers although they do have a sink! There are 2 shared shower rooms. There is no housekeeping... More

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this quaint little pub. The rooms were quite basic but very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities were very good. The owners and their beautiful dog were extremely friendly, as were all the other staff and locals. Breakfast was extremely tasty and well cooked and although... More

Alfred and his team did us proud at the end of the Fastnet Race 2013. Not only was it a very busy time for him, he went out of his was to accommodate 60 unruly, slightly tiddly;y and excited sailors from Sailing Logic. I think we managed to drink the pub dry of most of the ales and a good... More

Thank goodness for GPS! The pub is tucked away down extremely narrow fishing-village lanes, but has a stunning view over Plymouth Sound. A warm welcome from the hosts and their lovely dog in this character-filled old pub. Staff were all really friendly and obliging and breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We were surprised to find there was no car parking... More

Lovely pub, free parking 20 metres from the pub. We sat in the beer garden and had lunch and a pint. Food was fantastic...all home cooked. The South African guy behind the bar was excellent, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be back.
