Went as a party of 18, originally booked for 15 no problem seating the extra 3 people even though the restaurant was busy, service was first class (can't remember the waitresses name, sorry) food served promptly, well cooked and well presented

The kitchen seems to be capable of keeping up with the damand of people but the front of house are like headless chickens.I have never seen so many staff and so little productivity. My starter remained where it was throughout my dinner along with the previous guests glases. I counted 15 glases left at the bar and saw customers clear... More

Visit in Nov 2014 - approx 5.30 pm Friday. Overall the place looks very nice; just had a revamp by the look of it. A welcoming feel about it, with log fires adding to the country pub atmosphere. We were sat by the staff-station, and I feel that this review might have been different if we had been sat anywhere... More

Not the best experience waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive then a further hour for our food while others who came in after us got there starters and mains!. Order requested no mayo on sandwich but was smothered with it. Sent it back then came out cold. Shame as food was actually quite good in the end.

I lost track of how many times I heard the word “Sorry” on a recent Sunday lunchtime visit. That’s all the staff kept saying to customers, and the reason, if you think waiting for over and hour and an half to get some food is acceptable, then this is the place for you. We counted well over six to seven... More

Have eaten here a couple of times when staying at the nearby Travelodge. Was impressed by the food again and friendly service received. If you haven't booked in advance you may have to wait for a table (about 20 minutes this time) but it gives you chance to sample the local ales:) Once seated food was served efficiently and waitress... Due to the fact that me and my partner were staying at the travel lodge just next door to the jack rabbit, on our first night we decided to eat there. When we walked it I got the traditional country pub vibe and I love that! When we got to our table we looked at the menu and goodness me!... More

It's pub food but very good. Steak was well cooked with good trimmings. Went with 12 colleagues from work and everyone enjoyed their meals, many ended up getting one of the excellent deserts. Only problem is the service at times as I think the staff get lost in a quite mazy pub!

As a family we all had a very nice Mother's Day meal. There was a good choice of roast meals and my only complaint was that my roast beef was tough. It looked lovely - slightly pink in the middle and came with very nice roast potatoes, Yorkshire, and vegetables that weren't too undercooked, but my knife wouldn't cut the... More
