My Wife and I accompanied by another couple chose to stay at St Elizabeth House as Plymouth is very short on quality hotels so we thought we should try this fairly recently opened country house. Upon arrival at the bottom of the driveway the first thing we noticed was a blackboard advertising cheap meals almost identical to the pub down... more

We are just back from one night at this beautiful small hotel. Very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, and a large bathroom. We had dinner at their main restaurant and we were given the choice of both a fixed price menu and a la carte menu. If you are not on a strict budget go for a la carte,... more

We returned to St Elizabeth's House for a two night stay as we were so impressed with it first time around. As always, the grounds and seeping driveway welcome you in. Kindly, the receptionist upgraded us and we had the Francis Chichester room with large bay window (not the greatest view, over bungalows, but gorgeous curtains which, when drawn, covered... more

Recent reviews of St Elizabeths House have commented on poor service from young and inexperienced staff. Well if there was a problem - they fixed it. Other than a glitch with our morning paper one day (Times rather than Guardian) and slightly slow service in the restaurant on the Saturday evening (too many diners - not enough staff) the staff... more

Staying on a business trip I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food both at dinner and breakfast was superb. The bed was divine and the room and bathroom very nice indeed. I would stay again for pleasure. more

We stayed for our wedding anniversary. Choosing to stay in the St Maurice Suite and eating in the restaurant on the Friday evening. We stayed for 4 nights considered a long stay? We were assured the road next to the suite was a very quiet country lane…It was not in fact although the room was comfortable and impressive…. It was... more

We stayed at St Elizabeth's house for a weekend in August and were unfortunately very disappointed. Although the hotel itself - the rooms, bathroom, gardens etc. are gorgeous and beautifully decorated, the whole place is let down by the service and staff, who all seem to be young and/or inexperienced. Considering the hotel only has 15 rooms, the service was... more

At St Elizabeth’s House we endeavour to exceed our guest’s expectations and pride ourselves on personal and excellent customer service. On this occasion we let ourselves down due to training issues with new staff and take all comments and complaints very seriously. I would like to express my sincere apologies for the lack of customer service and issues you experienced...

We booked this hotel as an overnight stop before catching the Brittany Ferry to Santander. Priced on Late Rooms.com at £99 including breakfast for 2 people we thought it was a competitive rate. On arriving you find there is plenty of parking spaces, surrounded by trees and larged lawned areas. The hotel is just fabulous. Apparently it has had a... more
