Car had broken down and I booked into this hotel, a bad day got even worse when I saw my room, only stay here if its the last room you can get and you may still be better off sleeping in your car, should be condemned. more

This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. I was given room 32 with ceiling tiles hanging off the ceiling, a double bed that was more a 3/4 bed with a hole in the side of the divan base, and a mattress that had the springs sticking out. It had grubby looking carpet tiles on the floor and... more

My husband and I stayed here with our children last June as it was the venue for my brother-in-laws wedding reception. It was a real dissapointment, and an expensive one too at £85.00 for just one night incl. breakfast. The decor was old and shabby and the place smelt really musty. The room was practicaly bare and felt more like... more

We stayed here twice to go to see the Wildworks production of The Beautiful Journey at Mutton Cove. The staff went out of their way to be helpful despite being very busy, our evening meal was excellent and our room was simple, comfortable and clean. I think we were in the newish wing, room 53 this stay and 51 last... more

Had come away with husband for a weekend break. Booked this as their website made it look great. Yes receptionist was very polite and friendly. BUT hotel and room awful. Whole place is need of total restoration. Whole place smells damp. Room large but paper falling off wall. Dirt on floor. Holes in ceiling..however one was filled with tissue paper!LOL!... more

My wife and i recently stopped at this hotel for 4 nights to attend a wedding (which the function was also in this hotel). I have heard stories about this hotel and the wife had looked at reviews on the internet and we were worried !! We have found these to be a little harsh. Good points. Very friendly and... more

We stayed at this hotel for just one night (thank god!). It's not all bad. The receptionist was really lovely - and very helpful. The room, however, was in need of total redecoration. The bed was very old and hard - the divan base was very tattered. The wallpaper was pealing off the walls. There were very old, dirty tiles... more

I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occations now, and have usually been rather dissapointed with the state and running of the estableshment, but it was local to the college i am studying at. I arrived on Sunday 15th to be very pleasently surprised by the profesional staff and the way the hotel has changed in such... more

I wish I had read the reviews on this place before we booked. Sadly we were let down at the last minute by accomodation elsewhere so I just booked it quickly. We were firstly shocked by the location of this place as it is in the centre of a very rundown and dubious council estate. A busy Police station opposite... more
