I've seen quite a few other reviews on here and in all honesty, I think they may be a little harsh. Agree about the area - set in a dingy housing estate and didn't feel too safe at all but the car park is locked and very secure. The outside of the hotel looks quite dated and resembles a 1970's... more

Without doubt the very worst accommodation we have ever come across. Located in possibly the darkest corner of Plymouth this establishment is more "hostel" than "hotel". We booked because we needed easy access to the Naval Dockyard and the website made it look acceptable. However, the reality was quite different. Of the three rooms we had all were "minimally" furnished... more

The hotel was clean and spacious, however music went on till the early hours of the morning every night and the area that the hotel was based is less than pretty and safe to walk around in at night. Situated in the middle of a massive council estate with the police station opposite and a barbed wire fence surrounding the... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel.I wish I had read review's first. This hotel is the worst we have been to,I have worked all over the world and I've stayed in better bed and breakfast's.This is what it should be called not a hotel. In fact it would give good bed and breakfast' a bad name. The room was large... more

What a disgrace!!! How could this place call itself a hotel!!! The rooms were dirty and smelling of dry rot. Someone had been sick on the stairs during the night and it was not cleaned up when we went down for breakfast!!! I have travelled the world in the navy and NEVER been to a more disgusting hotel!!! more

What a hovel. Have never stayed in a place like it, and will never do so again. Owner obviously has the place sussed as we were asked to pay total amout up front - there were 4 adults and 2 kids so quite a lot to pay - and we stupidly paid before seeing the rooms. I have travelled a... more

On arrival for a reunion found 20+ friends in lounge bar ... we had to wait for the one member of staff... full of apologies checking everybody in aswell as attempting to serve us in a bar that wasn't commissioned, she had to dispence drinks from an adjacent bar. On arriving at our room no.44, found economy carpet tiles with... more

I must admit, I was a little worried when we booked this hotel for a two night stay last week, after reading reviews on different forums. When we arrived, we were taken straight to our room on the 2nd floor (room 59), and I couldn't believe the size! It was extremely spacious with it's own walk-in wardrobe that was like... more

We are just back from a few nights at this hotel and can honestly say this is the worst hotel ever! The room was dark and dingy with dirty old carpet tiles on the floor. The bed was so uncomfortable with half the springs coming through the mattress and the base had a big dip in it. The shower was... more

Arrived here after 5 hour drive from London. Very hard to imagine poorer value for money or facilities. Grubby and very cramped double room. Cigarette burns in blanket on rock-hard bed. Window didn't shut and curtains couldn't shut out light or noise from downstairs party, which also didn't meet at top due to being broken. Oh yes - we were... more
