Hotel is rather dated and needs updating Staff seemed uninterested and unskilled in their roles. Lunch and Dinner menus were the same and very few choices and for the price was poor, breakfast terrible. Room was large and clean but did not have radiator turned on and was therefore cold in the room with outside temperature just 1 degree. Bed... more

We stayed here for a wedding earlier this year and it was the perfect setting. The weather was supurb and the food was great. The boys all took full advantage of the golf course and us girls of the great wine list. The rooms were very clean as were the common areas, the staff were all very friendly. We have... more

Stayed here in Feb whilst attending a wedding in the area. The reception was actually in the hotel. The room we stayed in was pretty big, and the bathroom was too. Guess we had a family room as included a double bed and a set of bunk beds. The light in the rooms is pretty good and they back out... more

This was a last minute get away over Easter weekend. Never been to Plymouth so thought it might be nice. This hotel seemed good value for money and relatively close to Plymouth itself, but with a countryside feel to it. Food and service in the brasserie/bar area were fairly good, if a bit pricey and not very varied. The atmosphere,... more

I felt the need to write a review on this site as I know that many brides check out tripadvisor before booking their reception venues.. We were married last month (Sep 06) and our reception was held in the Elite Suite at the Elfordleigh. I cannot speak any more highly of the staff at this hotel - in particular the... more

It's a lovely place and we shall definitely go back, maybe taking the golf clubs next time. Helpful staff, big rooms and nice firm beds. Small gripes: there was a function every night which produced a bit of noise till past midnight; the brasserie food was a bit stodgy and this put us off trying the more expensive restaurant. But... more

My colleague and I stayed three nights here on business. The building is a converted stately home, so the walls are a bit thin and you can hear people when they tramp up and down the corridors. Having said that, when it’s quiet, it really is quiet – you can’t hear a thing. We ate in the bar each night,... more
