The view from this hotel is the best in Plymouth,it;s a shame the hotel is run down, and they didn't bother to empty the fridge of old food and hypodermic needles. When ordering sandwiches make sure they don't put a dead fly on the tray as they did with us.apart from that it was OK. more

I made the mistake of booking this hotel then reading the tripadvisor reviews ! and to be honest im glad i did ! I feared what i might find on arrival having read a number of reviews on this site after i booked. Yes, the building looks awful from the outside, but once inside it isnt that bad. I booked... more

This hotel is great for sea views but this where is where it stops. I was staying overnight on business so arrived late morning to attend a meeting meaning the room was not ready for check in. My partner came along for the night and was working in the lobby. After 2pm I called him and said to check us... more

We booked by phone and were given a booking reference, but this was the only confirmation we got. On arrival a couple of weeks later, we were expected OK. The hotel is situated on the Plymouth Hoe promontory and, as such, has marvellous views over Plymouth Sound (from the seaside rooms, obviously) and the adjacent Hoe; this fine attribute, for... more

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel twice now as it provides good value for money, is centrally located in Plymouth with stunning views of the hoe and plymouth sound. Breakfast is buffet style, the cooked breakfast is average and not a high standard. There are however wonderful views across the sea in the dining area which half... more

My friend and I used the Quality Hotel as a base for a one night stay in Plymouth before taking the ferry to Brittany. The room was booked well in advance meaning we got a twin room for £57 (excluding breakfast). For our money we found the hotel acceptable in terms of cleanliness. It was of a good location with... more

I stayed here for one night- arrived at 11pm and left at 6am the next day and didn't have a chance to check out anything other than the room, which was clean and had an amazing view out over Plymouth Sound. The bed was pretty comfy, but the furniture was a bit old & dated. Good water pressure in the... more

A faded concrete block of a hotel which is not pleaseing to the eye in anyway. Scaffolding around the lower levels to catch the falling concrete. Big carpark which is a good selling point. First thing I noticed was the big, dramatic posters as you walk in warning that they will clamp youur car if you don't put a ticket... more

This is a good basic no frills hotel. The rooms need some updating for furniture but the bathroom is very clean and modern. The beds are reasonably comfortable with clean white linen. The public areas are plain but again clean. The dining room is clean and spacious and the food is ok for the class of hotel. The staff are... more
