We used this hotel as a stop over before a long drive. The room was average, very tired and a bit tatty but the bed was O.K. and wonderful views over Plymouth Hoe. We had not arranged for breakfast to be included in our booking but decided to have something to eat before we left. he breakfast cost £12.50 each... More

mouldy, rusty, tatty curtains, bits on carpet, uncomfortable bed, rude staff, terrible breakfast. just dirty and horrible. I would say the free car park was a bonus, but its just not worth it. Complained to duty manager who did not even apoligise. Never going back and wouldnt advise anyone to stay there. More

Where to start: I stayed at this Hotel last year and had a poor experience in terms of quality of room [threadbare sheets and carpets & poor food] However, having complained I was assured these matters would be addressed and If I choose to stay with them again I would be given an upgrade. So, again having business in Plymouth... More

The Hotel is situated within a grey block. This alone is already a shame as it is positioned on a cliff top overviewing the harbour area and doesn't really fit into the picture. The welcome was very warm and friendly. The seaview room gives you a beautyful view. The furniture, carpet, etc. is very dated and needs certainly renewal. However,... More

Initial looks not good with scaffolding deflecting falling masonry from front door! This soon forgotten by good welcome in a tidy reception lounge. Room on small side with dated furniture although the room and ensuite was bright from new lick of paint. Superb views of Plymouth Sound from third floor and above. Fine buffet style breakfast served in dining room... More

this was my second stay at this hotel and I am hooked, but only if I compare it with other budget hotels that charge a similar rate, having experienced this hotel I would never stay at the travelodge down the road, yes it looks dire from outside and parts of it look dire inside but the staff are fine the... Having seen some reviews on here I was worried at what I would find. Yes it is a bit dated and there were some issues - e.g. wallpaper peeling off the wall however the parking made up for this. The location is handy for both walking to the shops plus going to the barbican. We were on the third floor... More

We stayed here mainly because the cheap price. Being from Plymouth i wanted a city centre location and knew this hotel would be ok. What didn't realise was that it doesn't seem to have seen a lick of paint since it was built. It is incredibly old and dated. The rooms are very small. We were in 704 and for... More

Great location high up on the Hoe, and it's worth paying the bit extra for a view of the sea. Plenty of parking, helpful and v friendly staff, modern reception area. Things start to go a bit downhill outside the reception, heralded by the 1960s staircase near the lifts. Our room had rather beat-up furniture, but the beds and bathroom... More

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. The room was a decent size and i was lucky to get a corner room and so i had two views, one of the city and one of the Hoe and you get good views from the 5th floor! The hotel is looking very tired and the rooms are in need... More
