We Booked as a base for a theatre trip and visit to The Hoe and Barbican and the position was perfect. The guesthouse was excellent and we will definitely return on next trip to Plymouth. Excellent value.

Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel. Best points were location (a couple of minutes walk from the theatre), friendly staff and quality of breakfast. Worse point was the damp patch/stain on the ceiling in our room which was at the very top of the hotel. Meant to mention it when we left but forgot.

Thank you for your review - I am pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have just had a new (expensive) roof fitted in April and annoyingly the water seems to come through in one room on the top floor when it has been raining. The roof company have surveyed the area and are on the case. Hopefully, all will be... More

Stayed at the Imperial for one night in a family room. The hotel is well positioned close to the Hoe and provided a great base for our fleeting visit. The room was very pleasant, clean, well stocked and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel owners were keen to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. They... More

The Imperial is ideally set next to the wonderful panorama afforded by Plymouth Hoe. The accommodation cannot be faulted and the friendly and efficient staff never fail to provide the warmest of welcomes. This has been our third visit and we are already looking forward to the fourth!

Well positioned, with the added bonus of car parking.Walking distance to a good choice of restaurants, the Hoe and Barbican. A short boat trip to Royal William Yard is recommended, also a train ride along the Tamar Valley to Gunnislake. Plenty of buses nearby. When booking check if your room has a bath as some en suites have only a... More

Whilst staying unfortunately my husband was ill and the staff were so helpful. Thank you. We were unable to have breakfast due to illness and had to leave early but the staff were extremely helpful. I would stay there again and would recommend the hotel to friends

Large family room. Really good location to the seafront and city centre. Very friendly staff. I would really recommend a stay in that guest house.. Parking directly at the location was possible during our stay.

I booked this for the fireworks championships as it was close to the hoe and really convenient. There were 4 of us in our party, myself, my boyfriend, my teenage niece and her best friend. A normal room may have been a little cosy, but this room had a double bed and was extremely spacious. But the best bit was... More
