I had left it late to book into my usual hotel and found the Imperial on booking .com. I have to say that from the moment i checked in to leaving everything was fantastic. I stayed in Salcomb room. The room is large with really nice decor and a huge comfy bed. This room also as a balcony. Breakfast and... More

This was the best guesthouse hotel I have stayed in in UK. Breakfast was particularly good, room remodelled recently and staff very helpful and friendly. Will stay there again. It was a few flights of stairs to my room but I booked at the very last minute. If you can book earlier ask for a lower room and you will... More

The Imperial is without doubt the best hotel in Plymouth. Friendly and clean, in an interesting old building in a great location. Nothing is too much trouble. Super breakfasts with loads of choice. For parking you may need to use on street but that has never been a problem for us.

Yup, the title sums up a great stay at the Imperial for my family. My family of four stayed in one of their 2 bedroom suites, a bargain at £115..It was clean, warm and well presented. my youngest pretended to do a "four in a bed" review, and gave it 10 out of 10 !!. Add to that a well... More

This is a family-run business that makes you feel at home. I stayed for 10 days whilst working in the city. Our organisation has returned to The Imperial year after year because they offer first class hospitality in comfort and style. The rooms are clean and well-appointed; the bed comfortable. I am tall and was given a room to accommodate... More

after five visitsThe Imperial is still the best hotel in Plymouth. Three more booked in the next 12 months. I love the staff and their helpfulness. Nothing is too much bother for them. I love Louise and all her staff. B

Very comfortable and clean, what I specially liked was that everything we asked for, like restaurants, things to do, art appreciation, even real butter for our breakfast and locating a tel. no for our local pub, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay again.

I was travelling alone and received a very warm & friendly welcome. The proprietors couldn't have been more helpful & obliging. I'd asked for decaff tea & coffee in my room, which was supplied. Was even offered fresh milk in a jug instead of the tiny pre-packed tubs (I use a lot of milk so usually buy my own pint).... More

This is the third stay for us at The Imperial and it remains our top choice for accommodation in Plymouth - the apartment at the rear is now converted into 2 self-contained units - still ideal for us and our teenager who wants their own room and privacy (and WiFi of course...) - the owners and staff are brilliant with... The hotel is located very close to the all the spots you want to see when in Plymouth. At first I wasn't terribly impressed. The location won me over. It got better when I walked around Royal William Yard Harbour only 5 minutes away and had a wonderful meal at one of the restaurants-of which there were many to choose... More
