We stayed in June 2009 and could not have wished for better. The staff were very friendly and the room, we had the St Ives Room, was impeccable. Breakfast was a varied menu, and cooked to perfection I might add, which was a pleasant surprise as most hotels etc don't offer too much of a variety. Will defintely stay again.... more

Travelodge was booked out so we stayed here. Well run guesthouse. Full to the brim but the staff still had time to ensure our stay was comfortable. Lovely breakfast and lots of it! Fantastic location very close to the sea and to the shops. If the sun shines in the summer we will be back. more

I stayed here in the middle of June for a onference. It had been recomended as one of the few Green Tourism Business Scheme hotels in the area and the price was compettetive. The location is great - just around the corner from the Hoe and close to the city centre. The decor is great - but with a few... more

This small hotel is located within walking distance of The Hoe and other Plymouth attractions. There are good restaurants within walking distance. Parking is provided on site. There is no lift and if your room is at the top of the hotel you have 2 flights of stairs to negotiate. We loved the large bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom had... more

This hotel has an excellent location. The breakfast was outstanding with excellent vegetarian options. The hotel is family run and certainly has a family feel to the experience. They were helpful, informative and welcoming. We enjoyed Plymouth, the Ferry ride to Cawsand and hiked the path to the historic estate. We also enjoyed an unusual bus ride from Plymouth to... more

The outstanding service in this hotel is what makes it stand out, a refurbished character house this hotel has local charm. The rooms are updated to the highest modern standard possible for the type of building, I stayed in on the top floor obviously the windows and doors appear old but I think this is inkeeping with the style. The... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night on the 16th May, we had the family room on the top floor which was fantastic. There is a seperate room with two single beds and another single in the main bedroom which has a very comfortable double bed. The room was decorated to a high standard, there was a flat screen... more

May 19, 2009 | Trip type: Family

I stayed here on 9th May for one night with my mum and grandad whilst visiting family in the area. This is a top place to stay. I wondered why it was 5 star as there are no facilities to justify it as with other hotels. What makes it 5 star for me is the place itself and the staff.... more

May 11, 2009 | Trip type: Family

This small family run hotel is brilliantly located near the famous `Hoe` of a remarkably impressive gem of a city. We only stayed for one night and although advertised as 5 star it may not have all what many would consider prerequisites for this classification - pool etc. What more than makes up for this however is the genuine warmth... more

I stayed here with my partner based on the rave reviews I may have been expecting too much. The hotel offers good accomodation and is modern and clean but lacks quality and personal touches. Our room was very small only just room to walk around the bed. The quality of fittings was average although modern. THe only quality items were... more
