I booked this hotel on last minute.com and so had no idea what it was going to be like. What a lovely surprise when we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly receptionist ( who was the proprietor ) who booked us in and although we were early they allowed us to leave our bags so that we didn't have... Stayed here for the second time and it was just as good as last year. Excellent location near the hoe, shops and restaurants. Good clean rooms, lovely breakfast and friendly service. Why go anywhere else?

My wife and I spent two nights at The Imperial in early August, we found our room to be cleaned to a high standard; the Staff were very helpfull; and the full English Breakfast Excellent. The hotel is situated very near to Plymouth Hoe, and also just a short walk to the Barbican Marina area, which is a food'ies paradise.... More

I telephoned to book and was dealt with by the very kind & charming lady owner. The price I was quoted was cheaper than advertised & I was allowed an early check in. Arrived at 11am to be warmly welcomed & given a lovely room at the rear of the hotel, clean fab shower and lots of room 100% recommended... More

This is an excellent small hotel in a very good location for both the city and the Hoe. We stayed for three nights in a spacious, comfortable room with an extra bed for our son. The staff are friendly and efficient and really make you feel welcome. The breakfast is superb with a wide choice from full English to Pain... More

I stayed there regular for a business engagement I had in Plymouth for about three months Mon-Fri. Lovely rooms, super friendly staff, great location and good value too. When I knew I was going to be staying in Plymouth for some time, I wanted to find a hotel I could feel at home in when there. The Imperial fitted perfectly.... More

We recently spend one night at the Imperial Hotel and cannot fault it at all. The welcome we received on checking in was friendly and efficient and Richard promptly showed us to our room and gave us information regarding Plymouth and places to eat. The room was spacious and very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also spacious and... More

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Nice big room on the top floor with a good clean bathroom. The Hotel is in walking distance to both the old Barbican, the major attractions, and the station. Very friendly staff and a good solid English breakfast. Heavily recommended.

We stayed here for two nights when in Plymouth for a 'Catch & Cook' course at the River Cottage. It is more of a boutique hotel than a guesthouse/B&B and very well located; we had a smart and very clean room; the bed was comfortable; they serve an excellent breakfast; and we received very helpful & friendly service throughout. What... More

I chose this guesthouse as it was just a few minutes walk from where I was working. The accommodation is also very close to the Hoe with access on to the approach from the rear of the building. I received a very warm welcome and was pleased with my room at the very top of the building - it was... More
