I stayed at the Imperial on and off over 6 months whilst working in Plymouth. It is superbly situated on the Hoe and a short walk from the theatre, cinema, numerous resturants and the picturesque Barbican area. Reasonably priced it sets itself above some of the other b&bs by having a well stocked bar, nicely decorated well maintained rooms, and... More

Stayed here on business and was very content with the hotel...location was ideal for us between the dock and the recommended Barbican area...rooms were comfortable and the staff very pleasant indeed. Only reasons not to give it a five star, parking isn't great, I managed to sneak a space my colleague wasn't as fortunate...and the shower curtain didn't fit so... More

Thank you very much for your review, I am pleased you enjoyed staying at The Imperial. It is great that you mentioned the shower curtain being a problem as yesterday we replaced it with a bi-fold door, so no more swimming pools! With regards to parking we have 12 spaces and 20 rooms - not ideal I agree. However the... More

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend in February 2015. We had a lovely big bedroom and bathroom and everyone was very friendly. The bed was fantastically comfortable. We overlooked that breakfast finished earlier on Monday than on Sunday and turned up after it had finished - but were immediately offered a fry-up before the kitchen was closed.... More

I made a Late Booking and was happy with the price of the room. The Receptionist on monday evening was very helpful, pleasant and a credit to the hotel. I found on-street parking outside the front, free in the evening until 10am, and there was plenty of parking in the hotel car park as well. There was reroofing work going... More

Just returned home from visiting family in Plymouth - So pleased we booked at this hotel. The couple who welcomed us (and the dog) were really pleasant. The breakfast was perfect. Excellent value for the cost. My only criticism is the bathroom - it could have been a little bit cleaner but as I write this I feel like I... More

I found this hotel online and a decided to book it. We were 6 and we took 3 double rooms. The position is perfect because 5 minutes far from the city centre. The owners were really kind and helped us to find a place to dinner. The rooms are nice and clean. For sure it's not a five stars hotel... More

We stayed three nights over the February half-term in a family room for 3 (Room 1 "St Ives") and thought The Imperial was a fantastic place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by Louise, despite arriving very late on the Friday night. All staff we encountered were really polite, friendly and helpful. My daughter and I both need a gluten-free... We decided to stay in Plymouth on Valentines night, booked our room via Hotels.com, and paid a bit extra (£109 B&B) for what we thought would be a nice place to stay. It later transpired we could have booked direct with them for the price of £89, (but they still didn't do too badly out of the booking, as even... More

The most important point to make is that WE CERTAINLY DO CARE ABOUT THE COMFORT OF OUR GUESTS. It’s also good to recognise that sometimes money can be saved by checking with us direct on our website before booking online. Maintenance: is ongoing and thank you for pointing out these issues again – we will address them tout de suite.... More
