This B&B is the best I have ever seen. It is hotel standard - and a good hotel, at that! The staff are not only very friendly but incredibly knowledgeable about the local area. The accommodation itself is superior to say the least. There are plasma TVs attached to the walls with freeview, you get free WiFi access with laptops, the beds and linen are always crisp and clean and of particular note are the bathroom facilities - hotels would be proud of these standards. Yet all of this comes at a very very reasonable price. The breakfasts are also perfectly cooked - you've never tasted bacon like it!
The Hotspur is the ONLY place to stay in Plymouth - if it is fully booked when you want to vist then just rearrange your trip so you can stay here! more

I recently visited Plymouth and had the good fortune to stay in the Hotspur. This guesthouse is pretty much perfect with every detail thought about, extremely clean / tidy rooms and wonderful hosts.
If I had to compare quality and attention to detail of this guesthouse then it would be on par with a 5 star hotel, obviously rooms are smaller than a hotel but don't let this put you off. Everything about this guesthouse displays quality including the full very tasty breakfast. more
