Main gripes- Checking in took at least half an hour by the time they had found a credit card machine to work /worked out how to use it..... (having insisting on us paying in advance ) car was left in 'secure car park' and entry was then through kitchen via defrosting frozen suasages - not a happy sight. Rooms ok... more

Having previously stayed at this establishment, I was interested in the previous comment as to whether the place had gone down hill?? I found the staff to certainly be an improvement and the room was clean and cheerful. The off road parking was a major bonus. Breakfast was very good and all I can say is that they must be... more

I recently checked the reviews, and further to my comments of a couple of years ago I would like to add some points, as this hotel is not getting such good feedback now. My previous visits were good as found nice, clean & good value. The last time I stayed I felt that standards had definately slipped. Room given was... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel Easter weekend, we didnt pick it ourselves my parents picked it for us as we didnt have a chance to look for somewhere. We paid £110 (£55 per night) and stayed for 2 nights. Upon arriving at the hotel we were shown around by a woman from Birmingham, who seemed to do... more

Please avoid this hotel - it's really not worth the money or hassle. Rooms are very small and the beds are awful. It is impossible to sleep after 6am - as you are woken up by the staff and manual workmen (who use this hotel). The towels in the bathroom are too small. More like hand towels. And toiletries aren't... more

We have just spent 2 nights at this hotel. It was truly a terrible experience. A warm welcome quickly turned sour when any request for help or assistance was met with blank stares, impatience, or snide remarks. We chose the hotel partly because of the secure parking. However, you have to hand in your keys so that the staff can... more

welcome was ok. paid for a en-suite room ended up in a basement room with a view of ladders and stairs and no natural daylight, the mattress you could count the springs in your back at nite foot traffic above was awful people walking up and down all the time, secure carpark is a good idea unless you want to... more

I am a cleaner in a 4 star hotel in St. Ives Cornwall and was very surprised at the standard of clenliness at this 4 star establishment that we chose to stay in for our short break! On the day of arrival we were told we could park the car in the car park (very limited space) but couldn't get... more
